I accidentally bought cci 29 grain .22 long instead of  lr's and decided to just try them out and low and behold they cycle just fine in my 10/22!    Not one  single malfunction out of 100 rounds, at 50 yards just as accurate or more consistent than bulk Blazers and at 100 yards , approx 2-3" lower than the Blazers due to the lower velocity but they cycled just fine, noticeable slower action but just fine.   I even tried mixing them up in the magazines with no issues.   My bolt and receiver is stock... Ran them through promag and factory magazines.   I do have a matched barrel but I don't believe that makes any difference as far as cycling...    They also cycled fine out of my coworkers

I didn't have a chance to try them in my P22 yet but I'm glad I can make use of them in my 10/22 at least...       Possibly useful info for those that have access to longs and own a 10/22 or MP5..... 

Well, you learn something new every day--I've had a 10-22 for many, many years but I never fired Longs in it (I've always had LRs to feed it).  Good to know they'll work--thanks for sharing the info.

haha yep, I was curious since I accidentally bought em, glad to know I can shoot em!  Gonna try them in my P-22 when I get a chance.  The CCI longs were even more reliable than my bulk lr Blazers in my match barrel, not a single jam...  Funny stuff
