This announcement is about to be broadcast.  We wanted you to hear it first.

As a result of market demand and customer input, Walther announced today to continue selling the popular PPQ M1 (Classic) in the United States in limited quantities.
This means Walther will continue to manufacture and then sell in the US market the PPQ with a traditional thumb and paddle style magazine release.
Availability will be early 2014 with Walther continuing its full support of PPQ M1 (Classic) firearms already sold and in the market  with production of magazines and accessories.

Yeah! I am very Happy with my PPQ Classic!

Awesome. Even though I'm a fan of the HK P30, I was planning on getting a PPQ at some point in the future until they discontinued the paddle mag release. Looks like I'll have to add this to my list for 2014.

can you elaborate?
most people love the PPQ for the reset and trigger and hate the P30 for the reset and the trigger
i like the look and feel of the P30 better, so that's what i own and i put up with the trigger and the reset
i did change to the light firing pin block spring and just added a 10lb USP hammer spring from wolff, which lightened the trigger a lot
psychologically, i am more comfortable with a hammer than striker, but that's my own personal issue

P30 was my favorite.
