They are indeed 45 acp rounds.
It is quite possible that Dillinger and Kelly used rounds just like those pictured. :thumbsup:

I thought steel cased .45ACP was a (WWII) wartime expedient.  So wouldn't it only be used by postwar criminals?

What in the picture tells you these are steel cased rounds?  I'm just curious since this is beyond by experience.   :shaka:

That '26 to '34 era produced some of the most notorious criminals and I believe they all might have used Thompsons and/or 1911 45 autos.
