Many good points in this article by Dave Workman, who writes for the Examiner on-line "newspaper."

Workman is mainly concerned with Washington State firearms affairs, but his articles often have general interest aspects.

Comments, with respect to the Islands?

I do believe that the radical and crazy notion that the Founders meant what they said, is gradually soaking through the judicial system.

The Obama administration is waging a (successful) war on gun owners. Like any war, the tactics change and evolve. When he couldn't accomplish his primary tasking which was to get enough congressional support for a renewed AWB or universal background check system, he had successfully accomplished his secondary tasking. He is helped in accomplishing this tasking by the media who is at his beck and call. They worship him and he can do no wrong. So he says, "guns are bad," and they immediately run countless stories on how evil guns are and even worse: gun owners.

Wherever you work, it is probably considered unacceptable to smoke in your office. If you work from home, good for you. Yes, smoking is actually bad for your health, so please don't compare the health aspects of cigarette smoking to gun ownership. Anyways, over the years we were bombarded with anti-smoking campaigns. You used to be able to smoke on board commercial aircraft and it was considered normal and completely acceptable. Now, if you smoke within 50 feet of any building, you are considered a "jerk", and in some places a criminal. Laws can be passed or not, but the stigma we all carry is only getting worse. Obama's war on the gun owner (and Christian, and business owners) is going ok for him, unfortunately for us. In the minds of many we are members of society that are on the fringe. Gun ownership is starting to be considered somewhat faux pas, much like driving a diesel truck, smoking in public, or not recycling. I don't really care about all that crap, but what I do care about are the liberal judges being appointed by BO that rule based on emotion and how they perceive the case, not based on law. Once they set legal precedents, those cases are on the books and they essentially become law.
