3221 Waialae is formally known as Kaimuki Shopping Center. The makule among us  might  recall the property used to be the King's Daughters Home, with a big grassy lawn sloping to Waialae.  Shopping center was developed in the late '70s. Times and Longs are the primary tenants.

Maybe the gun store is going in the basement level on the koko head end, where the game arcade is now.

I just messaged my cousin and asked if they are going to be selling guns.  He said no guns yet.  He wasn't sure if they could or not since it was so close to a school.

J Hara is in Kurtistown.  Yeah, I know lots of people would rather pretend that Puna doesn't exist and that everything that's not Kona is Hilo, but the map says otherwise.

They open on Friday. I went there yesterday. They are on the first floor next to the game center. They have lots of fishing supply. Some ammo and air guns.

grand opening is when they promote the opening
they may have specials, entertainment, and food
the opening now is a "soft opening"
they open the doors and do business, but without the hassle of the crowds, and work out the kinks before the "real" opening

We are open for business now so that we can work out the bugs and kinks in our system. Also, with our workers being so new, they will need time to get adjusted to the computer/inventory system. As for our "official" grand opening, we will be having a HUGE sale on many items.
