Aloha Inspector,
Pic is of my Freedoms Arms 454 Casull. Didn't post pics of my 454 scoped Super Redhawk. Grips on the Freedom Arms single action can be brutal when shooting hot 454 Casull hand loads. I'm small so didn't get into Z frame S&W 460 or 500. Believe me I almost bought one but decided to get the Freedom arms single action instead.
Love hand gun hunting! Like archery too  but can pull trigger. Lol
Thanks Bro may be I'll see you at the silhouette range.
P.S. What's your favorite wheel gun?

not sure if that question was for the Inspector only, but I'll answer it anyways.  LOL

my favorite wheel gun is my Ruger GP100
its very accurate out to 75-100 yards, versatile with the .357 and .38's, and it feels very natural in my hands
not as big a bang as my .44, but theres something about the GP100 that just feels very comfortable to shoot.

I would love to pick up a Freedom Arms in 45 Colt. They are one of the nicest single actions ever. Saw one at the show for $800. Wish I had the funds. My fav happens to be currently my S&W 627 from the Performance Center. I have a red dot on it and with my pet load at 38+P speeds I can group well in double action mode. With that said I recently pick up a Ruger Super Redhawk in 454 Casull. I picked it up from a member moving back to he mainland. It is a low round count gun with that unique stainless finish that Ruger did for a couple of years. It is a gray color. I scoped it with a nice Bushnell scope. I am still working up loads for it in 45 Colt. Shooting lead only out of it I have two different weight/styles I am trying. So far I have tried Trail Boss, Titegroup and H110 on the high side. So farTrail Boss is the most accurate at 50 yds. But I am still looking for that great 100 yd load.

Cool, yup Ruger's Super Redhawk 454 Casull are gray. Ruger made 454 Casull cylinder with special alloy so it's got 6 shots vs 5 like other 454 makers.
Sounds like we've got the same pistol, is your barrel 7.5"?
Great gun, enjoy 45LC too. Heavy cast bullets fast or slow rock. PM if you'd like to share load data. See yah! O0

after a long wait, i finally got it home
a 2.75" Security Six
there's a few blemishes, but i think after i polish it up, it'll look good as new.
by the looks of it, i dont think a whole lot of rounds went through it

after changing out the grips which i had waiting, it looks like the trigger spring is newer than the gun
and the trigger is real smooth and light, much better than my GP100
the new grips are a little thicker, and fill my hand better
plus the old grips just looked......old

Security Six, Speed Six, and Service Six were Ruger's first double action revolvers
until it was replaced by the GP100
after researching the serial #, mine was made in 1979
nice addition to my Ruger family  :geekdanc:

another grip change for my SBH .44mag
after the stock wood grips, i put on some Hogue grips. and they worked and shot better than the stock ones
but the look wasn't that appealing to me.
so, i got these Black Widow grips made with laminate wood colored in Black Diamond with red Ruger emblems
transforming my Super Blackhawk into the Super Blackwidow!   :geekdanc:

first is the stock grips

hogue

and finally the Super Blackwidow!  :D

Nice bunch!  A wide variety!

Did you find anywhere on Oahu to get the Nagant revolver ammo?

Thanks!

I couldn't find any LGS that carries the ammo. I looked around and reloading data and case manufacturing data are tough to find. I came up with something I think will work well. But until I get back on my feet I won't be able to work on it.
