a pair of GP100's
the top one is from 1990 still in like new condition.  only 2 things I changed were the front sight to a fiber optic, and the grips are from Thailand
the bottom one is from 2017.  Wiley Clapp edition.  didn't change anything.  comes with front brass bead sight, flat blued finish, all edges are smoothed for a smooth re-holstering
I really love the GP100 for a .357 platform.  they are built super strong, and shoot very well.  they are not the best of the best, but for the money they are hard to beat
I wouldn't trade either one

I love the GP100 as well. I also love those Thai grips!!! What type of wood are those? I am not a big fan of the Ruger rubber grips with the wood inserts. They don't fit my hands that well. I usually change out stock grips for Hogue grips. I like that mat blue finish as well. It gives the revolver a very unique look.

the wood on the grips are rosewood

I'm not such a big fan of the rubber GP100 grips with the wood inserts also.  but since its a special Wiley Clapp edition, I thought I'd leave it as is since these wood inserts only come with the Wiley Clapp GP
the back of the rubber has some checkering to help with grip.  unlike the normal GP rubber grips which are smooth.  idk if the checkering actually helps with grip, but it looks nice

Me like rosewood!!!

Well, I guess we'll have to test out the Wiley Clapp to see if the checkering really helps with grip!!!

I don't have any S&W revolvers. Maybe I should see what it's like on the dark side.  >:D

I'm usually at the range on Sunday mornings. It is about the only time I have available as I am usually busy running errands on Saturday. However, if you cannot make it on Sunday, I can switch Saturday and Sunday if necessary.

I don't know....... It is a Smith. I don't know if you are worthy to join us with only ONE revolver.

I would love to see you join us DRCK.

I think we should make this an open revolver invitational. What do you think? Especially for those who have never shot a revolver before or would just like to shoot something different. Or just come and talk story.

Anyone else want to come and join us? Everyone is welcome. :shaka: :shaka: :shaka:

You talkin’ ta me? No one talks to me like that!!! I’ll show you! Wait... I’d have to buy another revolver. Haha

Yeah. A revolver steel fun shoot would be awesome! Would be great to share what revolvers folks have and get others (more) interested in them. We’ve been talking about shooting some steel for a while and a revolver shoot would be awesome!

Of course, the just talk story part of given!

"The rifle is a weapon. Let there be no mistake about that. It is a tool of power, and thus dependent completely upon the moral stature of its user. It is equally useful in securing meat for the table, destroying group enemies on the battlefield, and resisting tyranny. In fact, it is the only means of resisting tyranny, since a citizenry armed with rifles simply cannot be tyrannized."
