the last revolver shootout a few weeks ago got me motivated for something new
shooting the 454 Casull and 500 S&W magnum got me thinking.....maybe I need a bigger caliber
but the more I searched and thought about it, I thought I really like the 44magnum.  although I really enjoyed shooting the 454 and 500, I thought I could stay with the 44 and load hotter and with 300 grains if I want a bigger load
and I really like the looks of the Super Blackhawk Bisley Hunter.  so that's what I ended up getting
shot it for the 1st time this weekend with iron sights.  later will try the scope.
overall I really like it.  accurate, easy to shoot, trigger is smooth, and I like the BIsley grip.  cant wait to go back and try the scope.

If I were to pick up a Blackhawk it would have the whiskey grip. Fits my hands much better. Sweet piece, Stang.

Nice.  :shaka:
Looks like a 9mm?
I guess you like your S&W. They make great revolvers.

Thanks. Nope. Its 45acp. Jim stroh shortened the cylinder and taylor throated it as part of the custom. So its like the same size gun with a little bit extra barrel. I am happy that i have an example of his work as he retired a while a back.

sighted in the scope on the SBH Hunter. sort of. until it started to come loose from the scope mounts.  I lost the torx wrench that it came with so I couldn't tighten it until after I packed up everything, then a RSO let me borrow his torx wrench.  but I didn't shoot it again after that.
this is from 50 yards from a rest, with my reloads with 240 grain RNFP copper plated.  could be better.  but i'll blame the mounts coming loose for now.  i'll go back later after I get some better reloads to try.
then I shot at 100 yards at my steel target.  got 1 shot on the steel then the scope really went off. so I quit for the day.

Is that a 6-7" diameter target?

That looks like some good shooting!

Interesting new Ruger revolver:

https://ruger.com/products/gp100MatchChampion/specSheets/1775.html

I am very fond of revolvers and I have special love for revolvers that are chambered for semi-auto pistol cartridges. While I am not a big fan of this cartridge it still makes for an interesting piece.

Hmm.  It would be interesting to shoot the 10 mm side-by-side with a .44 Mag.

Looks like the GP100 is a perfect opportunity to start!

Interesting to note it shoots 40 S&W along with the 10mm. The guy in the video had his rechambered for 10mm Magnum so he can also shoot 10mm and 40 S&W.

Thanks Stang!!  :shaka:
