Here's a nice article featuring the Ruger Turnbull Bisley Blackhawk. A very beautiful and well made piece. Turnbull does some of the best color case hardening I have ever seen.

I've always like the case hardening look.  A revolver and lever action pair would be nice.  Doesn't that finish need quite a bit of care to maintain?

I don't think so. However, I do know that over time the finish (just like bluing or nickel plating) does wear off.

I hope before I get too old to shoot that I can own a Gary Reeder custom Balckhawk. But that Turbull Bisley would be nice, too.

44 vs 357 Video
That was a pretty cool video and I learned some stuff.  Glad he got away from the "what's fair" comparisons, but I can understand why he did.  Glad he did the "what's more realistic" parts.  Like for 9 mm and say .40 S&W, a 147 gr 9 mm and 150 ish 40S&W are quite different.

The "body" targets was interesting, but maybe a waste of some good pork chops.   :P

The tests on the CMU blocks was also interesting, but by that time in the video, I was half expecting the 44 mag to vaporize the blocks.  Haha.

The speed tests on the plate rack was good too, but I think he was sandbagging a little. . .

Anyways, as I say all of that, I'm thinking I should get a 44 mag.  ;D

I have two .22's.  That adds up to one .44, right?

I have .22LR, 5.56/.223, 7.62x39, 7.62x54R, 9MM, .38, .357, and .45ACP calibers I'm already stock up.  I don't need another one, especially a larger, heavier and more expensive pistol caliber.

When I do add another, it will probably be a rifle, like .308 for the M1A I'm contemplating.
