I would love to have one of those.  I hear good things about Tyler gun works.  nice finishes on the steel, and good smooth action jobs

I have a couple of revolvers which have had some work done to them by a professional. I wish I knew who did the work? Both are late 60’s Smiths. A Model 10 and a Model 25. The Model 10 has had the trigger smoothed out and lightened both in SA and DA. The barrel has been cut down 1” to make it a 3” barrel. The barrel has been given a very nice rounded and deep crown. The front sight has been reattached to the shorter barrel. And the hammer has been bobbed so it is DAO. The stock trigger has been replaced with a target style. And both the trigger and hammer have had case color hardening done to them. The bluing, which I assume is stock for that period is so shiny and deep that you can see reflections in it. It could be it may have been reblued but I think the finish is correct for the period. If I am careful I can bring the hammer back using the trigger and then I place my finger in front of it and cock it like a single action. With my reloads it is a pretty accurate pistol in SA. In my practice with it I have learned to shoot it rapidly and accurately.

The Model 25 has had similar work which appears to be at the same hand as the Model 10. An excellent trigger job has been done to it to smooth out both SA and DA and lighten them considerably. The trigger has been replaced with a target version. Both the hammer and trigger have color case hardened. The barrel has been cut down 1” to make it a 4” barrel. The barrel has been recrowned with a rounded and deep crown. The front sight has been reattached to the barrel. The bluing is exactly the same as the Model 10. I am still experimenting with reloads for this gun. Using my own cast and powder coated bullets I am seeing flyers regularly. With commercially cast and powder coated I am seeing a VERY accurate pistol with no flyers. I am using Auto Rim brass instead of 45 ACP brass.

Overall, the look and feel of both pistols appears to have been worked over by the same person. I bought both pistols from an estate on Oahu. So there is no way to determine who did the work. I also note that the barrels were cut down to be the same length as rare factory barrel lengths for time period. In other words the 3” Model 10 was very rare as was the 4” Model 25. I don’t know if that was the reason for cutting down the barrels or if they were looking for easier carry. Also, the Model 10 came with some very exotic wood grips. And the Model 25 came with the stock target grips from the period. Those are my only customs and I love them. But I think I would also love something from Gary Reeder.

Guy is crazy!

he looks very recovered from when that 50cal blew up in his face and then he had to get open heart surgery to remove something from his lungs.  shooting a 460 in 1 hand and a 500 in the other is pretty impressive.  I like that he's not that technical in his videos, hence his YouTube page name "Kentucky Ballistics"   :shaka:

What I also like is he is obviously having fun destroying cans of nacho cheese, pineapples and whatever else.

Me too!
H110 is my favorite for shooting flame throwers   >:D
My friend was very impressed with it the 1st time he saw it out of my 5" S&W 44mag. I remember him saying, "it's shooting flames out of the barrel!"  He's seen muzzle flash before but not a flame thrower like the hot 44mag ammo
With a certain ammo it shoots huge fireballs. Accurate too. For those reasons, it's just a ton of fun to shoot. And recoil with a bigger revolver isn't too bad like a 500 or 460, IMO

H110 is my goto powder for hot magnum loads. But Unique is a close second in the flame department and it is good for medium magnum loads. So a little easier on my wrists/fingers but still good fun nonetheless.

got a FO front sight for the Anaconda
another thing I like about these new Colt revolvers is the front sight is easily replaced with a Allen screw. and they are all interchangeable
this Anaconda has a green one, my Python has the red factory one that came with my Cobra, and the Cobra has a tritium night sight

the FO front sight helps me focus on the front sight better than the red ramp sight it comes with or much better than a black sight
helps me to focus on the front sight and not the target so much
