If you have it or tried it what's the pros and cons and does the slide flip mount  come into handy when switching to -100 yards too +100 yards. I was thinking acog but also like the fact of slide mount for shooting variations with the eotech.

I have a older but similar setup on my AR. I like it, but if you're purely shooting at koko head I like my acog better there. It's nice if you plan on shooting at Honolulu firearms or lucky enough to practice on private land at closer ranges then what koko head allows. That setup is versatile and great as a general setup for anything less than 200yds. Personally I would go with an acog if I had to choose only one seeing as I mostly shoot at koko head. If you're preparing for the zombie apocalypse and want a CQB setup with the option to reach out a little further the eotech is the way to go 

Edit: I don't know about the newer models but on my setup with the 3x magnifier the image is not as clear as my acog at ranges beyond 100, which is another reason the acog wins at koko head

Heard the newer ones are better , but i like the fact of flipping the magnifier if needed for close quarters . The closest thing for the acog is 1600 bucks lol glad u brought up koko head since that where I'll be using it most of the time

Ya the newer ones I'm sure are better, and my old 1st gen setup isn't really fuzzy or anything, just not as crisp as my acog past 100. I own both and am happy with each, but as for mostly koko head shooting I give it to the acog. If your patient occasionally people sell their acogs for reasonable prices. I got mine from a forum member for around $800 and was in almost perfect condition. Also depending on your ejection pattern, empty brass hits your magnifier when flipped to the side. No, it doesn't affect anything, but if you're like me and baby all your guns, each case that hits the magnifier makes you cringe.... But the first scratch is always the hardest.

Tnx man, took your word for it and picked up an acog today check out the latest purchase thread . Yea i was looking at the like 1700 bucks it was a dual purpose one but cant afford that .
