Did anyone else see this?
Yes, but I'm not sure where the "misunderstanding" part comes from. The laws are pretty clear about to/from transport, but doesn't really matter where he might have been going to or coming from because one can't loan a handgun anyway (they were registered to wife). Add to all that how the social security office is a Federal facility? I think the guy is boned.

And I still see stupid people.

Seems they didn't really say why he had them.  I thought it was gonna turn out to be something like he grabbed the wrong bag or something like that.  And how's that quote by the nail salon manager, “It’s uncomfortable. It’s not really safe to carry a weapon on your body anyway around the public. It’s safer to just leave it at home."  Psh  >:( if that was a real active shooter I bet you would want someone around with a gun to help out

No, he wouldn't.  He would barricade himself in his office and arm himself with scissors or a fire extinguisher, just like his Big Sister taught him in the active shooter video.  When the shooter came through the door, he would muster his most fearsome battle-bleat and charge like the sheep he is.
I'm just a fluffy white bunny rabbit who lost his way.

Hahaha, this is why I like o'le Coug.

Your number one Option for Personal Security is a lifelong commitment to avoidance, deterrence, and de-escalation.

Someday someone may kill you with your own gun, but they should have to beat you to death with it because it is empty.

It would be nice to know why he had them with him in the first place. With some of the comments on the bottom of the khon2 page I think hawaii is a long way off from having carry laws  ::)

What a weird story.
Strange statements by nail salon guy and the wife.

Yeah, I got the feeling that this was heavily edited when I watched it last night.

Why would you be called to bail him out? His wife can't do that herself?

"Psh."

Agreed.  It's safer on my person than anywhere else.  And safer for anyone around me if something (G-d forbid!) "goes down."

This bullshit about demonizing guns on purely emotional grounds is starting to get to me.

"A gun is a tool, Marian; no better or no worse than any other tool: an axe, a shovel or anything. A gun is as good or as bad as the man using it. Remember that."  From the movie "Shane."

I'd use stronger words than just "Psh."

I do believe that the radical and crazy notion that the Founders meant what they said, is gradually soaking through the judicial system.

You carry like 25-200k dollars in cash? If not, you will be calling someone like me, a bail bondsman, to get you out lol.  :shaka:
