FINALLY! Someone else who actually read the book!!!

ETA: Oh yeah and it's more watered down PG-13 money making B.S.! ALL zombie movies should be "R" for gore, violence, etc.

I didn't see the movie, but read the book. The book wasn't bad but it wasn't that great.

I like the book club idea. I recently finished reading "Facing Violence" by Rory Miller. Read it on my kindle though so sorry, I'm unable to pass it along.

I think the Facing Violence book should be required reading as it writes extensively about what happens before and what happens after a self defense scenario.

Highly recommended book

It was OK. The 28 days/weeks later franchise is better in my opinion. For all out zombie fright, the remake of Dawn of the Dead was awesome.

Wow.

World War Z really struck a chord in regards to the chaos panic will bring on. Great movie.

Anyway, if you want insight into a modern chaotic environment that could happen during a large scale natural disaster, the first 30-60min of the movie will provide you with a great representation.

Any day now.....

Zechariah 14:12
And the LORD will send a plague on all the nations that fought against Jerusalem. Their people will become like walking corpses, their flesh rotting away. Their eyes will rot in their sockets, and their tongues will rot in their mouths.
Zechariah 14:13
On that day they will be terrified, stricken by the LORD with great panic. They will fight their neighbors hand to hand.

I recommend

SHUT DOWN by W. R. Flynn - financial systems collapse. Far more probable than zombies (unless you consider bankrupt banks to be zombie institutions).

and also

THREAT VECTOR by Clancy (latest one; co-authored).

I think that Clancy book is probably 90% written by the other guy and 10% or even 1% by Clancy just as his brand name. Anyway, is great. Cyberattack on America.

More of a pamphlet, really...

Principles of Self Defense, by Jeff Cooper.

Not saying you should, but if you Google it, you can find a downloadable PDF version.

Quick, easy, and informative; would recommend to those who haven't already read it as part of LEO/military req'd reading assignments..

Thanks for the recommendation. Will check it out.
