My son actually noticed it (at Safeway in Mililani) and MMS'd it to me...

Question: What's wrong with this picture?

Answer: The "No Food or Drink" sign has been replaced with this...



All of their stores are now Gun Free Zones...guess it's to be expected of a company based out of Pleasanton, CALIFORNIA.

I don't know why anyone would like to shop at Safeway...
I'd pick Times or Foodland any day...any time...
Most of Safeway's prices are overpriced.
Safeway used to boycott "local" products until recently.
Case in point:  never used to have Meadow Gold drinks in cartons until only a few years ago - Safeway used to only push the "national" brands.
If you want to keep the money in Hawaii, shop elsewhere.

Not like you can walk in with a firearm anyways, so the sticker is kinda redundant.
It's like putting up a sticker that says:  "No Nuclear Bombs allowed."

I noticed that the other day at Mililani safeway. Not too sure how long that sticker had been posted there.

All I can say is I feel more gooder as soon as I'm in the store!

I would feel sooooooo safe in safeway.  Noooooo one would never bring a baaaaaaaad guuuunnnnn in the place, since there is a placard prohibiting it.   ::)

not that it matters in hawaii but if your state has preemption laws no individual town can make firearms illegal, and along those same lines safeway can put a sign up saying whatever they want but you could still carry concealed in there and be fine. all they can really lawfully do is ask you to leave.

As a private business they are more than withing their rights to want a firearms free store.

It is our right to reply by not shopping at their stores.  I'm not sure why anyone would want to shop at those stores anyway, seems like they don't have the best judgement:
