I don't think one can shoot them all because of the different size frames. With the glock 20 you can convert it to .40 and .357 sig with just a barrel swap. The 23 can shoot 9 with barrel and mag change. Check out lone wolf they have Alot of conversation barrels.

Are you looking for a base gun/frame for Glocks that is capable of shooting 9 mm, 40 S&W and 45 ACP?  If so, I don't believe that that option is available.  The best that I am aware that you can do is start with a 40 S&W base gun, like the 22 or 23 and get the 9 mm conversion barrels.  I don't think they do that for the 45 ACP models, or at least I am not aware of it.

Just curious, but why are you looking for a single gun to shoot all those calibers?  For me, part of the fun is owning different guns to shoot as well as the different calibers.  That said, I rarely shoot 40 S&W anymore.

Thanks guys. Yes I heard about the SIG but I asked one LGS a couple years back and they said the SIG is not like that, or something to that effect, and I lost interest. I will revisit the P250. Dang, now I am getting into SIGs?! :-D

The reason for multi-caliber is simply that I expect the ammo shortage to continue indefinitely. I guess that's pretty the main reason in a nutshell. (Also you can say it is a LITTLE cheaper than buying several firearms to try out other calibers while having similar muscle memory for the same grip platform).

If a multi-caliber handgun is what you are looking for, just throwing this out there...

The Sig P250 allows for complete modularity with regard to frame size (compact, sub-compact, and full) and caliber (9mm, .357 Sig, .40 S&W, and .45 ACP).

He says this is the perfect "wife gun" LOL well I am listening

PS - his rationale for "wife gun" is not that good. All he means is that the wife can just pick it up and shoot and there are no safeties to mess with. No grip safety, etc. Well dang, that's in a lot of guns. Glock for example. Anyway, still researching options.

PPS - Sorry, DAO, not for me and my wife. Maybe others can shoot it but I don't have confidence with DAO. Too bad, SIG looks like a great platform.

If you're looking at Glocks, the most versatile would be the .40 caliber versions (G22, G23, G27, and G35). You can switch to 9mm and .357 sig. Add in a .22 conversion kit and you can use 4 calibers with one firearm.
Realistically though, .357 sig isn't very popular so finding ammo might be difficult which means you're probably looking at just shooting .40 and 9mm. Which aren't bad choices in my opinion.

Yup, I actually just want a 40SW option.

So, QUESTION:

I adapt a 40SW Glock into 9mm platform by switching a) slide b) barrel and c) using 9mm magazines, correct?

Is there ANY reliability issue, anything that is "less" compared with shooting stock 9mm Glock?

Another way I am asking that is, is there actually any difference in the frame and trigger and firing system in the frame between these Glocks (other than the slide and barrel and magazines)?

Thanks.

Yes, the frame should be the same. But that is an expensive conversion. Might as well pick up a glock 23 too :)

Action Express? Can the Glock even survive that?! Can my hand?! LOL

Thanks for the heads up anyway, I didn't even know that.

Not quite...
As far as I know, the 250 is multi cal. in 9mm, .357 sig, and 40

The 380 and 45 versions are stand alone,  but you can swap between sub comp, comp,  and full size  in any version of the 250

But the 380 is too short to fit in the 9mm/357/40 frame, and the 45 is too big.

Nifty gun that 250... I lust after the 9mm, with a sub and a full size chassis.
