I thought I'd put this video here.  YankeePrepper posted a video of how Cuba deal with their own SHTF when their economy collapsed.  Video is kind of old and is about 53 mins long but is interesting to watch.

i watch most of it but, Brother jl808 this is some deep sh!t. the problem is that its a reality we will have to face soon and a lot of people aren't  prepared for this type of situation....  Good thing i like walking and humping up hills!!

So I took my bag for a 5 mile hike to test out the system.  After a few miles in I realized having the right footwear is just as important as what is in the bag.  Put simply, the heavier the bag, the better hiking boot you will need.  My bag weighs in at 30lbs with water and food.  I am running NorthFace hedgehog trail runners and while adequate I think another 15 lbs might make them untenable.  What are your thoughts on this?
