General Discussion / Re: Buying a gun in Japan
« on: Today at 07:29:04 AM »
I've seen podcasters discuss the training regimen when firing weapons in the Japan military.

When they do their run and shoot drills another soldier runs alongside of them with something to catch all the brass.  ::)

I wonder if this mindset will carry over when the shooting gets real.

General Discussion / Re: KKSC open on 4th of July?

I did some probing on why the range hours are different than before.  I ended up in a quagmire of BS that the City and County gave for their reasons.

Budget, the "lead poisoning", highly skilled employees needed, more legal restrictions "implemented" after that alleged "lead poisoning", and some legal BS as to the govt. is not required to make sure that citizens have ALL the options to exercise their 2nd amendment rights.

Never mind the common sense fact that most citizens work on weekdays and weekends and that holidays are their rare opportunity to exercise their 2nd amendment rights.

Of course when I inquired if the Bruen decision had anything to do with these changes I was met with silence.  And of course a referral back to the above "reasons".

Does the range have set hours?

How about holidays.  As designated and under Parks and Recreation, the range should be open on holidays.

It was before.

All our ELECTED officials took an oath to UPHOLD the Constitution. We shouldn't be grateful it is EXPECTED. That's the problem with our leaders. They only cite the Constitution when it fits their agenda.

I wonder where their minds are when they are saying the oath of office.

Off Topic / Re: What happened to the Vegas I used to know.....smh
« on: June 25, 2026, 10:27:49 AM »
By the way, I just got back from a trip to Vegas.  Got back this past Monday.  It seems like Vegas is still as busy as it ever was.  Didn't seem any different.  As far as the pricing yes, it has gone up but for me I am on vacation so the pricing was expected.

Ate at Genting Palace at Resorts World ($88 per person).  Food was good, especially the Peking Duck.  The crab legs and lobster were mediocre the legs were watery and the lobster was fried in batter and tasted blah.  The fish maw soup was awesome, the shrimp cocktail were huge and good.  Oysters tasted like mud, lol!

The Wynn Dinner Buffet was just spectacular.  Everything.  Just spectacular!

Ate at the IN and OUT located on the Strip.  It's been so long that I've eaten there I forgot how the burgers tasted.  I wen broke da mout. :shaka:

I lost my a$$ at the craps tables.  Cal was $10, Main St. was $15, and Fremont was $10.  I dunno why but on Father's Day Cal and Fremont raised it to $15.  Fackahs. >:(

I played the Bonus feature at the craps table, the all small, all tall, and the all.  Hit the small and tall several times (pays 31 to 1)  Good fun!  Several times all we needed was one number to hit the ALL (151 to 1) but it never hit.  I played those bets two way, meaning I also bet for the dealers alongside with me.  The dealers get so excited when we place bets for them on the bonus.

I like go again but I have to wait a while.  I lost too much money, LOL!

I like the Gold Coast.  I haven't played craps there in about 4 years and it's nice to know that it's still $5.

I did visit 2 years ago and we ate at Ping Pang Pong.  Busy, noisy, but the food was good.  The service is typical ethnic Chinese.  Rude but they don't mean to be rude.  It's just how they are.

So far I want some pre-wound packs of weedwhacker line.

Also looking at ordering 2 more 45 lb. Barbells.

And finally a car jump starter.

Society mirrors those who have been elected (somehow) to lead us.

People mimic the behaviors of our leaders.  Just like children are influenced by the manners and teachings of their parents.

Notice how our leaders been acting?  Especially the last couple of decades or so.  People are saying, if they can get away with it, so can I.

The Aloha culture here in Hawaii has been replaced by the Ainokea culture.

Need laws to restrict assault hammers....

Man arrested, released after hammer attack outside Maui bar https://www.hawaiinewsnow.com/2026/06/13/man-arrested-released-after-hammer-attack-outside-maui-bar/

WTF.  Maybe we should take matters into our own hands.  Just a thought.  I mean, if you want something to be done about matters like this.

Evidently the hawaii justice system doesn't give a shit.  Maybe they feel this man is too violent to be put in prison.  Hawaii needs to protect the prison population you know.  They cannot have someone like this wandering the halls of prison.

General Discussion / Re: the Aloha spirit....
« on: June 06, 2026, 09:38:17 AM »
There's several videos on HHHNewz on FB/Instagram of the incident.  It was a teenage girls party with alcohol.  Couldn't tell what was being said, but it appeared the 2 victims were taunting the others and the lifeguard may have thrown the first punch.  I didn't get the impression that the mobbing would've happened if not for the taunting, and that it was a planned or coordinated fight. Also, it appeared like the 2 victims could have escaped or left the party before the mobbing occurred.

With very few exceptions, nothing happens "for nothing".

How do they figure out how much percentage of any ethnic group a person has?

If a person is 100% of whatever and he marries someone who has 25% black, 25% white, 25% filipino, and 25% samoan, is the baby still 50% of whatever that 100% person is?

Vs. somebody who is 100% whatever and marries someone who is 100% of another whatever.

Is it the same or not.  I dunno.  I never was good at math.

And no laugh if this was a stupid question. ;D

Did something happen prior to the 15 yr. old getting mob attacked?

Or is this a thing nowadays.  Pick somebody, anybody, then do a tik tok attack post.

if you were a father witnessing your son getting pummeled like that and you were armed...justified?

I don't care if it was justified or not.  It's happening.  People are going down.  I'll worry about the justification later.  Especially here in Hawaii.  Justice doesn't exist.  My loved one's lives are worth more than mine.

is alive and well....
https://www.hawaiinewsnow.com/2026/06/02/torture-honolulu-police-look-mob-that-attacked-lifeguard-15-year-old/

the same spirit that told the court we don't need firearms to protect ourselves....because Aloha!

The mob must have knew that one on one with the boy or lifeguard, none of them would have a fricken chance in hell.

Hence the "Aloha Mob".

By the way, my guess is nothing going happen.  Nothing does in this banana republik.
