Hawaii makes you ask for permission to own, you must register, and are on the police data banks as a potential terrorist when you have a gun. Only stupid white people( Haloes) follow these laws. Hawaii does not have a lot of gun crime, that is mainly due to the fact we don't have a lot of Blacks and have a very strong Ohana tradition. That is all adults are an Auntie or Uncle and you listen to them! I'm fighting to get a CCW and the local police head chief won't grant me that right. I carry anyway, legally of course. It just costs a few more seconds, in reaction time, and I have a lawyer on speed dial.

I'm going to try to get my anti gun police chief fired, and make sure we have the worst paid police and smallest
police to people ratio in the country.
That is probably more do-able than expecting the 9th to respect our rights.
In my county more people get killed by cops, than by druggies.

I can't imagine why anyone registers guns when you have Fed EX
overnight and mainland storage available,
or admits to having any ammunition in the home,

You kind of missed my point.  The only way that law will be enforced when the county chooses to ignore it,  is in the courts.
That is why "may issue" really  means no issue. Right to keep and bear arms means only if the Police chief continues to allow you to. 
A permission he can revoke at any time,   remember your permit( his permission) to purchase?
The police don't work for you,  they get paid by the county.
Cops can't be sued for violating your rights.  Police chief can't be sued.
Your guns will be rusting in a leaky container for months and years
before you get them back.
Hawaii has 4 electoral college votes and Idaho cancels us out.
Kill the local problems first,  they are just right down the road.

Also, please look up HB 710.  I wrote my representative, he took my wording, and submitted it to change HRS 134-9
from CCW  "May issue" to "Shall issue" and eliminate "exceptional need" wording.

Any comments?
