Why buy one rifle when you can buy five (well, actually six)?

Just finished another Kibler kit, this time the Woodsrunner in .54 bore.  All done save for rubbing in a beeswax protective finish.  Been raining the last four days, just waiting for some sunshine to take proper daylight images and baptize this little popper under fire.

"Brass Goat" brass catcher might leave you with enough right-side rail real-estate for right-side red-dot mount.  Many knock-off versions available on amazon, etc.

I was concerned about the left side mounted red dot.  The acid test was running the gun and it's actually quite good, easy for me to very quickly acquire a target.

I currently load for 6.5 cm and .308 win for out to about 1000-1200.  .223 rem out in that distance will be awesome!  I have seen folks shooting .223 rem out to beyond that distance, but dayum!   :o

Lapua brass, Fed match primers, N140 powder, Berger VLD 80 grains.  That'll get the job done at 1000 if my head's screwed on tight and the JARD trigger breaks @ 8ozs.  ;)

Ahh, gotcha.  I don't load for .223 (yet), but I do have guns that eject/deflect the brass forward at times.  Not an issue shooting from a bench with table mounted net.  But haven't been shooting my ARs that much on the rifle range recently.

I load .223Rem for my AR15s and will also for a .223Rem bolt gun I'm building off the Ruger American action that will be used for 700 to 1000 yards.

....re: AR, are you left handed?

Right handed.  The red dot needed to be mounted lefty else I couldn't get the brass catcher to work - I load ALL my ammo.
