what's your plinker?

not necessarily your favorite, or best, or most tactical.
but which of your handguns or rifles do you find yourself firing the most, which of your guns is your mule gun?

for me, lately its been my Beretta Neos .22
cheap ammo, easy to shoot, red dot sight, even cycles sub sonic ammo (so far so good).
i can shoot it all day long.
whatever else i bring to the range, i almost always bring my Neos along as well just so i can shoot off some lead.
i actually think my pellet gun has more recoil than my Beretta.
i think its mostly bc its a cheap gun that shoots cheap ammo.  i'm not afraid of shooting the crap out of it.
if i shoot the crap out of it and it lasts a couple years, i would have more than got my moneys worth.

Guess it would be both my HK 416 (Walther) .22LR and Arsenal SGL31-84...

The 416 is a little picky when it comes ammo but it's still a lot of fun to shoot & cheap.   My SGL31-84 is the one rifle that gets fired every time I go to the range, I was lucky enough to have purchased a decent amount of 7N6 when it was cheap so shooting the AK isn't too pricey    Yeah it's corrosive but that doesn't bother me, just means I cant let it sit after a range day ;)

My sw 15-22.  Cheap to shoot, same grip/stock/iron sights as my primary ar.  Whats not to love.

Savage 93R in 17HMR.

Bought used from Waikiki Gun Shop when Eugene used to work there. ( He turned me on to it )

Thing is a tack driver. Almost can't go the range without it.
And accepted on the silhoutte side as rimfire.

If you're a bolt rifle shooter and you don't have a 17HMR, try one out.
.22 on Steroids.

On a budget so

Ruger SR22 & 10/22 Takedown.

Cheapest ammo, reliable, compact, shares ammo, both fit in one bag.

My favorite is the Umarex MP5SD6 .22lr. That thing has been dead nuts with the irons out the box out to 100yrds with the proper ammo. Super fun.

refurbished 60s marlin glenfeild model 20 (from jc penny) with period scope, gun was sitting in a outdoor shed for 30 years before I got it.  Spent about 3 hours removing rust and cleaning up the wood.  Gun isn't worth much but was my first crack at refinishing a older gun
