Training is not cheap either.

I haven't read the whole post, so I don't understand where that comment is coming from, it sounds a bit challenging.

But in any event, the less money one has, the more one has to doubly ensure that the money is well spent.

I would hazard to say, spending $3000 on a custom pistol is probably overkill.

But there is a reason why guns such as Glocks are popular, not because they are trendy, but because they are reliable.

They also happen to be the choice of many people who need to live and die literally by the gun.

There are other reliable firearms, other than Glock. That just happens to be a "no brainer" example.

I am sure I am not alone in this opinion, and I am definitely not the most experienced or have the most guns, of people here.

I have a HP carbine in 45 with a few hundred factory and reloads through it. Fed it fmj, HP, fp, and it hasn't had a single malfunction......don't know about their pistols.

its not challenging, its a simple question.  500 mean rounds between stoppages?  2000 mean rounds between stoppages?  6000 mean rounds between stoppages?  10,000 mean rounds between stoppages?  I wonder what he would consider a super high quality reliable firearm would be.  Many here seem to think that glocks and other guns don't seem to jam or have any problems.  I've seen 1000 dollar guns jam and have problems right out of the box (a lot of 1911's seem to have problems without custom work done to make them a bit more reliable).

My hipoint use to have failure to load issues but that was because I would ride the slide forward when racking that first round into the camber.  Since I have just let it rip and do its own thing, I haven't had a problem with it since and that has been a lot of rounds down the barrel.

Might consider picking up the 4095TS, what the heck. I have no 40SW firearms.

that's a pretty good price.  I've bought new C9s for $150 and the 380 for about the same.  They go for about 75-100 used.
