Hey 2a, I've recently purchase my first handgun a colt 1911 in 45acp. And I've visited a gun shop called x-rings and I bought a box of 100 45acp today. They charged me 70bucks for them.... I was wondering is there another place that sells cheaper ammo?   Mahalo and Aloha

Its a .45 ammo is always gonna be more costly than a 9mm or .40.  Ammo and cheap don't go together anymore.  Its more like buy what u can get.  Watch the forum for ammo deals I would say.  If u get a deal on ammo stock up!  Or buy a 1911 chambered in a cheaper round like .22 or buy marvel upper coversioconversion and run .22 in your .45

What is dat, CHEAP AMMO! No such thing anymore!

Hey Mahalo, Bigkahuna! Dang I should of went for that Glock 22 in .40! But the 1911 was beautiful and I got a deal on it from my fathers buddy. I'll definitely look into a conversion kit! Is there any recommendations for a 22 conversion for a 1911?

I'd advise on popping in on SEC on young st for ammo in addition to ogc. 
Can't ever pass on deals, my favorite pistol I got a deal from a family member I could not pass up.

(1)  Follow OGC on Twitter and your phone.  They have deals that sometimes arrive unannounced.  Many days about noon they get something in and Tweet it out.  Almost everything can be purchased on the phone, but almost always have to pay the 3% credit card fee (no debit cards over the phone).

(2)  Join the VIP club at OGC:

They waive the 3% fee for all credit card purchases,
you get earlier notices of some sales/arrivals, and
sometimes there are VIP-only specials. 
I think the VIP fee is $299/year.
