Central Oahu Park charges for use of its fields and facilities. (soccer games etc.) I was assured that money would go to benefit the shooting range only. Camping is also probably about to get 10 dollars a night fee, instead of free. There are two benefits to this : 1.) homless won't steal the camping permits anymore, 2.) better amenities at the camp sight for you. It also gives us a reason to complain. If we are paying for something, and it's crap, we can ask why its not being fixed. Right now the city just counters with "We don't have the money." Well, if we are giving them the money, they can't say no.
I personally have no problem paying graduated fees (kids don't pay same as adults) and I don't pay for non-shooters. If it was something like the metallic side, where only those who shoot pay, I have no problem with that.
