It is a serious issue when concealed carry that should be trained on.  A good holster is essential for Glock type firearms, with relatively light triggers and no safety.  I have read that worn out floppy leather holster have caused NDs.

I wonder if HPD trains on concealed carry with its officers?   Would be nice if they would let the public participate in a CC class with the officers, you know since technically we have CC permits for certain circumstance....

Here's what he was thinking: "Hmmm. I wonder which is longer, my Glock's 4" barrel or my... "

He must have scared the shiite out of other bathroom users, literally.

BVD sales were up that day, apparently.

It was a misunderstanding ...

He thought she said, "Show me your Glock!"

Do you really think he would blast out over the radio, so that every one monitoring the channel could hear, that he just came close to shooting his dingle off in a mens room?

As a "GlockHead" I gotta jump in here.
ANY firearm can discharge when improperly holstered/handled.
With the Glocks being new to HPD, maybe they should have had some additional training regardings Glock's "Safe Action"  trigger.
Or we can just blame these inappropriate firearm discharges on clothing, windbreaker draw strings, morning wood etc...

And they get to CCW even when off the job.  :wtf:

Somewhat of a "Glockhead" here as well.

I've seen all sorts of "reholster" techniques.  I've seen one guy with a 1911 trying to holster his gun by holding the slide with his pinky dangerously close to the trigger.   :o

I don't have any stats, but I would think that Glocks are among the most common guns when carrying concealed.  I also wouldn't think it has to do with training specific to "Glock's 'Safe Action' Trigger".  You'll see TONS of Glocks in IPSC/USPSA competitions and I've yet to see an ND related to holstering.

Rock throwing is alive and well!  Usually popular in countries where guns are banned.  You see it all the time during protests and riots in Middle Eastern and Socialist countries.
