I asked the people who fought the HPD case, and they said that it's a slippery slope.

I am waiting for his next response to see what I should do next; maybe wolfwood would like to chime in to save me the trouble.

Curious... did you get any warnings before you were blocked?  Did you receive any explanations as to why posts were deleted?

If not, then they are in the wrong.  Unless you are being belligerent, threatening, vulgar, or harassing, they should take the time to give a first and second warning, then drop the hammer!

: angry and aggressive : feeling or showing readiness to fight

: fighting a war : engaged in a war

I've talked to at least 50 different people from my town that come from different lifestyles/beliefs/sides of the aisle, and 80-90% of them said that there are far more important things to be worrying about, like the homeless problem in my town and the micronesian problem. While some did say that they think climate change is a big issue, and also felt that his gay marriage fight was worth the effort, they don't see what else he is doing, as he keep harping on gay marriage and climate change and nothing else.

Turtle is mighty delicious eating. Hopefully they come off the endangered species list soon.

Saw this post and was like whoa...I'm Chris Lee too.  But I believe in 2a, support pro-choice (though I am more pro-life), for gay marriage and pretty much don't want government regulating me.  Wonder if I can run on his platform.

Puna Person and Q. It seems like our "officials" are all about attitude and not about serving the rest of us or the community as a whole.Too bad. Our Govt. has officially turned against the people and we are in big trouble. Thing is............ WE are the majority. WE just dont turn out in force to vote. And THEY stay in office. So many people not voting even being registered. Reason? "They're ALL crooks". I am so pissed off this past election. I dont know what else to do. Just hang in there boys. I am encouraged just knowing there are others like myself. Thank you for all you do.

I was just at the beach in the morning, prior to these events. There was a massive papio school that came through, and lots of local uncles and braddahs came in to enjoy a nice competition. Supposedly when night fell, the 'group of individuals in question' showed up and slaughtered some turtles, and were caught by some locals. Apparently, this 'vigilante group', Na Kua'aina o Waimanalo, has a mass text alert for their organization, so LOTS of people showed up and were able to detain the illegal turtle snatchers until DLNR arrived.

When the community had a discussion, the state named Na Kua'aina o Waimanalo at fault, saying we don't need vigilantes upholding the law. When confronted with the fact that DLNR and the state wasn't doing their job by letting these individuals continue this behavior in many places in Hawaii, they basically said 'what do you want us to do? we are understaffed.'

Yeah...lets call the group trying to protect their home the bad guys, and let people who take advantage of our government, our culture and our way of life do whatever the hell they want, simply because we bombed their islands 70+ years ago.

The main point of this is the same problem that is plaguing our country, with regards to immigrants in general: refusal to conform to OUR society. These people come to our country, and then expect us to conform to their way of life, all while disregarding our laws and shitting on our culture.

Call HPD, they can enforce state fishing laws. Granted they probably wont be up to speed on what size and type of fish are regulated but I think most know you cant catch turtles or monk seals.
