I had a short relationship with Cheaper than Dirt also.
Tried to buy a couple of DVDS from them and they wanted as much as the price of the product to UPS them to me .
Wouldn't even consider mail. "We don't use the Mail" or words to that effect when called on it.
Bought them from the producer direct instead along with many more, all mailed to me with a smile. For a couple bucks
Midway is no longer my go to vendor for stuff too. They want to Charge an extra $10 to ship to Hawaii.
Never mind that it came in a flat rate box, delivered to me by the Postman, on a Saturday.
Should not cost any more to ship to Hawaii by flat rate than to ship across the street.
Complained to the top, Larry Potterfield, and was told by the flunky he assigned to deal with me that was how it was going to be.
When told by CS that "we don't ship flat rate" I even sent them pics of the box with their return address on them to no further avail.
Lucky we live Hawaii! I think. See the attached cuts from the email string
Thank you for your recent email. I apologize for the confusion regarding our shipping charges, we do not ship using Flat-Rate USPS. We do require a $10 additional fee to ship to Alaska, Hawaii, and US Territories for all orders that are over 1lb because it is more expensive to ship to these areas.
We thank you for your feedback and appreciate you taking the time to share your opinion. If you have any additional questions or comments, please feel free to contact us at 1-800-243-3220. Our hours of operation are Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. CT. You may also email us at customerservice@midwayusa.com.
Thanks for Your Business!

How we can help:
Need to talk to somebody about shipping to Hawaii. My last order of any consequence was shipped to me by Flat rate mail, in a flat rate box with flat rate postage on it, and delivered by the postman.
Yet I was charged an additional $10.00 because I live in Hawaii.
This box should not have cost any more to mail to me than to mail across the street.
What's up with the surcharge??? Nothing hazardous, powder or ammunition.
If I was paying for expedited Fed Ex or UPS, then I would have no issue, but the mail is the mail and last I looked we were a State and the mail comes six days a week.
I would like to get some stuff, but we need to sort this out before I place an order.
Don't mind paying the postage, whatever it is, flat rate always being the best deal to Hawaii, but won't be paying a surcharge for USPS. This is borderline fraudulent.
I am prepared to run this as far up the chain as it needs to go. Who is pocketing the extra 10 bucks?

Thank you and Aloha
