Furthest I got in university was
Linear Algebra. I do have a degree
Few Americans earn.  It is boring
as hell.
I have written Diff EQ algorithms
for my previous employers.
But the mess you print out
means nothing without defining
your variables.

Curious.... is that Bachelor's degree in "Anarchy" a BA or BS?

I'm leaning toward it being BS....

To use the equation, you must fill in the variables as they are ever changing. :geekdanc:
Type, length, weight of bullet, barrel twist, length, scope angle, line of sight, humidity, temperature, altitude other atmospheric conditions, gravity, Transverse Moment of Inertia ....  :crazy: 
   Never mind.
 This algorithm is based on the McDrag work done by Robert McCoy.

      Fart (F)  velocity could easily be measured via Handheld Anemometer

    Assuming F had a weight of 300 gr and traveled at 32.2 ft/sec2
F = w/g = (300gr)/[7000 gr/lb 32.2 ft/sec2] = 0.00133 lb sec2/ft
Then potential energy is...
PE = [0.00133 lb sec2/ft] * [32.2 ft/sec2] * [6 ft] = 0.26 ft-lbs
Angle of F would probably alter above calc and necessitate the use of the Runge Kutta method (possibly RK4 ?)  for corrections.
