Super great feed back guys! How many of you shoot in matches? Are there more videos of people here shooting in clinics and matches? It seems like there is a lot of experienced shooters here, and I'd like to hear all about your extensive experience in shooting tactically. How do I shoot in these "3 gun matches?" Should I watch Instructor Zero videos for training? It's hard for me to make it out to such things and Sig Sauer courses. So I want to know how to shoot better.
...
I used to run matches before, but nothing like what I see today.
The P in practical shooting has been abandoned for "A" ...assault courses
I totally understand the change. Real practical shooting matches are not particularly exciting.
So the sport had to evolve to keep the interest of the next generation.
A perfect example of this is that trick of blowing off an extra shot so the gun goes dry before discarding it.
That is about as impractical as it gets. That's why the offshoot IDPA got started.
Anyway, the best I can do is to offer you some old videos from the old nationals and steel challenges.
You might be able to pick up something by watching the old masters at work.
I've started converting the old tapes to DVD, if you're interested in that.
Aren't you a master class shooter already?
