It's the "Do as I say, not as I do" mentality. Same thing applies to Al Gore and the Climate Change Religious Zealots.  It's okay for Al Gore to be completely irresponsible as far as the climate is concerned while he goes around making millions of dollars pandering to all these naive idiots because he is preaching the word of their lord climate change. The whole time he is one of the world's gross polluters.

I read something where he has a lot of real estate assets. Like millions. Funny, I don't hear any liberals asking for redistribution of that wealth, which is pretty much what Bern was pushing for. Well, redistribution of other people's wealth.

and I'll toss in Churchill for good measure...

Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery – Winston Churchill

Sanders is a total hypocrite, just like the rest of them... Obama (globe-trotting on private jets and yachts, etc.), all three Clintons (lying criminal near-billionaires), Gore (private jets, huge expensive-to-heat-and-cool homes), etc. etc. etc. Oh, and they all have ARMED private security... but don't want us to have the option to provide our own armed security.

I'm still amazed at how he got such a rabid following, particular amongst the younger (18-25 ish) female types. Yeah, his socialist ideals seem attractive until you have to really pay into the system.

That's what has always pissed me off about the Democrats, especially the hypocrisy of the Kennedys. The Chappaquiddick controversy has always put a dark cloud over the family. It seems that half the family is either in jail for rape or an Ambassador somewhere. Part of the reason why Hillary lost is because of all the sketchy real estate deals the Clintons were involved with, particularly Whitewater.

On the Big Island Sanders got over 77% of the vote in the primary. I wouldn't be surprised if in Puna it was well over 90%... so it's definitely way more than the younger (18-25 ish) female types... and the turnout for the primaries was 35,000 for the Dems, and less than 5,000 for the Repubs... more than 7 to 1!

If the Communist Party USA (CPUSA) had not "strategically" decided to back Clinton (driving many commies batshit crazy, as they thought of Sanders as a right winger) and had run an out and out Commie... they would have done very well here.

That's a long long list. Here's a short version, including only 22 "matters":

I went to the GOP primary in Kapolei and was surprised at the low turnout. I voted for Rubio.

Yeah. He def had more than the 18-25 ish female demographic. That was just what I saw a being the most vocal, at least on social media. Don't think the sector you mention are on social media, or at least not in my feeds. Though I am a bit surprised.

I think the fair question would be what did he do with the money. If he went and donated 90% of his earnings I don't think it would be accurate to call him a 1%er.  Yeah, if he pocketed it all then he is a hypocrite but if he donated it all then I wouldn't say so.

The said fact has been circulating the internet since last year, no wonder he settles on being a senator.

With a salary of $200,000, he won't just invest on a vacation house he surely has a lot of properties which most of us don't know.

Lengthy article...

ONE FAMILY, TWO SCHOOLS: QUESTIONS RAISED ABOUT ANOTHER SANDERS DEAL

https://vtdigger.org/2017/06/13/one-family-two-schools-questions-swirl-around-another-sanders-deal/

While one deal struck by Jane O’Meara Sanders during her time as Burlington College’s president has triggered a federal investigation, another arrangement she engineered is breeding claims of nepotism and allegations of veiled threats against her husband’s presidential campaign.

The bad blood centers on the relationship the college forged with the Vermont Woodworking School, co-founded and run by Sanders’ daughter, Carina Driscoll.

Carol Moore, the final president at Burlington College, broadly blames the school’s 2016 closing on Sanders. In a scathing op-ed last year, Moore wrote: “BC’s fate was set when its former board members hired an inexperienced president.”
* * * * *
That deal is under scrutiny by federal authorities, who are examining whether Jane Sanders accurately represented donations to the college used as collateral to back the bank loan.
* * * * *
(Just last week, Jane Sanders launched The Sanders Institute, a policy think tank with three paid staffers, one of whom is her son.)
