of course not.
Out of all the officers that were arrested - these two left the courthouse with leis
Who do you know gets arrested, appears in court and gets leis?

Doesn't being under indictment prevent you from possessing a firearm in Hawaii?  Oh wait his guns were lost in a boating accident.

How many more arrests will result from this investigation?  Kaneshiro?  Lower level police that knew about this?  Or is Kealoha the example to serve as the warning to others.

I am willing to sacrifice my time and serve with integrity on the jury of all of them.  I am retired so I got the time.  I wonder if the defense attorney will check to see if any in the jury pool got a CCW rejection letter from Kealoha,

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) -
Honolulu Police Lt. Derek Hahn has reported that two of his guns were stolen from his home in Kuliouou on Thursday morning.
Hahn is supposed to turn over all his weapons as a condition of his release.
Hahn, who is on leave without pay from the Honolulu Police Department, reported that his Remington 700 Rifle and his Roth-Sauer handgun were "unaccounted for."

Interesting, the news report says another grand jury is being formed and more potential arrests in the future.  Hmmmm.

More of your taxpayer money going to waste to pay for attorneys for both of them.  I get how expensive attorneys are and this is a big case, but I still can't fathom how this is possible.  When they were working, they must've brought in a lot of money.  Police Chiefs got $173,000 in 2015 and I'm guessing his wife made $100,000, and they got the $250,000 settlement.

isn't that what the public defender's office is for?

this is a federal case, shoudln't be an issue for a city/state public defender to take the case?

Cost to defend the Kealoha's is estimated to be $2 million.  Add in $1-$2 million for the prosecution and that's a lot of money.

As expected it looks like Kaneshiro may be the next one to be indicted.

I think more officers will also follow.
