Cool.
But does him shooting himself count as black on black violence ?  ???

Does it matter? It is still ultimately the white man's fault.

Is he some kind of entertainer?

Why do we care what entertainers think about politics?  I know I don't.

I like James Woods, because he actually supports his opinions with facts and provides thoughtful commentary.  He doesn't fall into "My opinion is right, so yours is automatically wrong" discussions.  He also has no problem going after trolls, which can be extremely funny!

Most of these entertainers, like Lil Wayne, admit they don't understand the details of issues.  That's what most should admit, and stop there without giving an uniformed opinion.  it's not a bad thing to admit you have no opinion, yet many seem to feel it's required they voice one when asked.

Did you watch the video?

He comes off quite objective by giving his personal story but then admitting he knows it may not represent that of others. He isn't throwing BLM type people under the bus but he certainly distanced himself from them and in support of cops no less. He doesn't pontificate, expecting us to listen to him because he is famous.

Do you think I need you to Lib-splain a video?  I don't care what he said -- pontifications or not -- because I don't listen to celebrities' political opinions one way or another.

I hear ya FJ
But its refreshing to hear entertainers express different viewpoints that are not the trending group think.

On an emotional, feel good basis, I agree with that.

I have never fallen into the American Idol mindset where my ideals need to be reinforced through sheer numbers or celebrity endorsement.  I often enjoy movies more when the critics declare them to be stinkers.  Go figure.

It's my wish that Hollywood types could learn enough about politics to actually have a logical, fact-based opinion.  Unfortunately, they spend their lives in make-believe, and the Conservatives there often find themselves shunned and out of work for breaking with the pack.

If they feel the need to voice an unpopular opinion, that's their decision.  It makes no difference to me, nor does it impact my life one iota.

The worst thing about Celebs and politics is: there are vacant-minded voters who are star-struck enough to have that be the reason for voting as the celeb votes.  That alone is reason enough to request celebs keep their political opinions to themselves.  They can raise money for charities, donate to save the polar bears, and attend fund raisers for their candidates.  But giving their candidates free campaign time seems inappropriate to me somehow.  Free speech is great, but free political ad time should be met with equal time for other candidates in some way.

I did read what you said and you completely failed to answer my question.

You are judging a book by its cover basically and basically put your foot in your mouth by implying its rubbish without even watching it. Your own criticisms would be found empty had you actually watched the video. You said he should stop instead of giving an uninformed opinion but that is exactly what he did in the interview.

The whole point of posting this video was that the TV hosts tried to get him to come out and give a certain comment about racism but he took the objective position and said he had no opinion on the issue. He didn't fall into the party line, repeating some popular political ideology and it appeared to upset the host. You wish Hollywood types could form a fact based opinion and that is what he did in the interview.

The whole point of the video is to try and make a case that his opinion matters to the viewers.

To me, they do not, regardless of what he believes.  Being well-known entertainers doesn't make their opinions any better -- just louder.

You can stop the Libsplaining.  Just write to him and ask for an autograph if you admire him so much.

So you like James Woods because he explains his stance but won't even give Lil Wayne a chance to explain his.  :wtf:

And on top of all of this is the irony that he is essentially supporting conservatives on the issue of racism in the interview.

I noticed you still did not answer the question of whether you watched the video. But I don't care any more because it appears you have made up your mind and don't care about facts.

I don't need to listen to every entertainer's views just because I like one entertainer's commentary.

Again with the Libsplaining?  I guess you snowflakes can't take "shut up" for an answer.   :stopjack:

It's not libsplaining, it objectivity splaining

I never said you had to listen to him, I am just calling you out because you are judging a book without reading it.
