Yup me too about 5 minutes from Wally World....

10 minutes for me.  I'm near Kipapa Elementary School.

Sources said they were caught at the Theaters. Back to the safe they (guns) go.

HNN said when the 9:00 news started both suspects were in custody.

a link would be nice.  what walmart?

at home, I always have a handgun locked and loaded.  If they're breaking in, and I have more time, I'll  grab and load the shotgun.

The girl was found tied up, but was otherwise uninjured.

"They tied up my daughter and they beat my wife to death with a baseball bat," said the victim's husband, Kevin Emery. "They won't even let me in the house because it's so bad."

Ok i found it

I'd just like to thank the police for finding the perpetrators.  While the family won't be able to bring back the wife, they can rest assured the criminals will go to jail, and that a complete and detailed police report was filed.

Might want to keep them out for a bit longer.  Did they catch the right guys?

I hope so

I was thinking that a person with a baseball bat or knife coming into my house would have an advantage over me. My guns are all locked up and ammo is stored separate. I don't carry in my house. I don't want to be at that level of alertness while in my perceived sanctuary.

You do what you feel comfortable doing, it's your safety and life.  But for me, my door is pretty flimsy so it woudln't take much to kick in.  That's why my firearm is always in arms reach.  Where as when I lived at home, my parents door is solid wood and it would take a battering ram to breach it.  There is also only 1 point of entry.

That is also on the assumption that no one forgot to lock the door and the intruder is already sneaking around.

But as you said, whatever you feel comfortable doing is what the threshold should be.  And if you have kids around or expect to have kids or others that shouldn't be around firearms, the bar is much higher as far as the safety measures taken.

There is a dune buggy racer in Vegas (Baldwin I think) that he has suppressors on his home carry pistols because he has 2 children in the home (1 infant) and wants to reduce the hearing damage as much as he can if he needs to shoot while holding the baby.  Pretty good reason if you ask me.

We should vote to bring back the death penalty in capital crimes.
No one is coming, it’s up to us.

Legislation should never be about depriving law abiding citizens of something, but rather taking those things away from criminals.

Passed by there a little after 2 pm yesterday on my way to Hale'iwa.
On the return just after 4 pm, saw the yellow tape, HPD and ambulance there. Ambulance driver hugging/consoling a women
Figured it was possibly a homicide due to yellow tape.
Shame !
Guess my house cleaner will have to start pack'n.

Sorry, but it took me a few hours to figure out what original post was about.

I’m nearby Walmart too, in Kapolei. I didn’t know Walmart was a dangerous place.
