Trump's not a racist, he's an idiot.
Or Flim Flam man depending how you look at it.

Will he win re-election?

If Trump found a cure for any disease all the docs and researchers will blame him for unemployment.

I think Trump should find a cure for diarrhea of the mouth.

You and many others have a problem with Trump. Everyone is entitled to their opinion(a). However, many here have shared their viewpoints through logical and rational thought. I’ve found that many who spew hate on Trump seem to not be able to share rational thought on why. They just hate him. It’s that kind of blind hatred that is why people seem to eat up everything and anything negative that is put out there about Trump.

Personally, I’m not his biggest fan, but I can rationally give him credit where credit is due.

If Trump would just ride the economy recovery, stop tweeting, and continue to sign the EOs, his opinion polls would probably be in the upper 40s instead of the mid 30s. I don't think this would happen if Pence was President. My concern is the damage that Trump will have to the party for years after Trump is gone. Following the failed term with Carter, the nation prospered with Reagan for 8 years and Bush for 4 years. If it wasn't for Perot, I believe Bush woulda gone for another 4 years. The opposite could happen with the country turning liberal for many years to come as a backlash against Trump. Sorry that I have no undeniable proof this will happen but it's what I'm most concerned about, especially when the President brags about the F-52s he sold to Normay.

I agree with the following article.

Trump speaks at a fourth grade level, he isn't curing any disease, that example is hyperbolic.

I wonder what level Bubya spoke at. He may have spoken at higher than a 4th level, but I remember him for a ton of facepalm statements. Almost to the level of Jessica Simpson.

It's not about Trump's ability to speak at a higher level (he obviously can -- he did a great job on Oprah and other public speaking engagements).  It's about his target audience.

In all my public speaking classes and seminars, one of the rules was to know your audience.  Your vocabulary and abstract ideas have to be communicated at a grade level the lowest common denominator is capable of comprehending without great effort.  A common target grade level was 6th grade.

The average reading grade level for Americans is 7th to 8th grade.  That's the average, meaning there are many who are lower -- maybe much lower -- than 7th grade.

So, if you're attempting to reach out to adults who may not use English as their first language, didn't finish high school, or simply do not relate to vocabulary they aren't exposed to regularly, where is the common denominator?

I'd say 4th to 5th grade is a pretty good guess, which is why Trump has been able to relate to so many American voters.

I notice you didn't change your M.O. at all.  When faced with evidence you can't refute, attack the person.

Typical.

I feel that what Trump said today is regrettable. And I think he should apologize to those countries that he said something about a shithole (no one knows the exact context in which he said it) who are our allies and vote with us in the U.N. If he said shithole towards a country that is not our ally nor votes with us at the U.N. then I could care less about his comment. The immigration reform that Trump is trying to get passed and to his desk for signature is going to help us secure our borders, eliminate stupid immigration policies and create a path for the so called dreamers to become a U.S. citizen. IMHO all of that is a good thing.

I think all this talk about the shithole comment is just more fodder for the MSM to whine about Trump. In the grand scheme of things there are much more important topics that need to be reported and discussed than a grown adult using a cuss word. The Trump hatred is quite apparent when all people can talk about is he used a cuss word. Other than saying shithole to one or two of our allies, I could give a flying fuck if he cusses.  :o :o :o

I dunno, but just how sure of that are you?

I admit not following UN crap, as I see it as all Kubuki theater.

Seems like all the countries sucking off of us for billions in foreign aid are constantly stabbing us in the back.

Supposedly, Trump used the shithole comment towards Haiti and African countries. I admit no one has the inside scoop on the actual context in which that word was used. However, Haiti and several African countries were some of the 65 countries invited to the whitehouse for a party for siding with the U.S. when the U.S. officially acknowledged Jeruselam as Israel's capital. If the president and our U.N. ambassador are inviting the same "shithole" countries to a party at the whitehouse for supporting the U.S. position in a huge U.N. vote, then I would think they are owed an apology if the shithole comment was directed their way. I don't know if these countries are sucking off of us. But they didn't stab us in the back in this circumstance. JMHO
