I know absolutely nothing about prior rules of engagement except for the fact it doesn’t make sense. Isn’t all is fair in love and war?

Same thing applies to this presidency.

Political correctness is tyranny with manners said Mr Heston.

If these places are in fact not “$hitholes, then people should have no issue going back right?

I only defend myself.

I can do this for as long as you can.  You should find something else to waste your time with before AH starts another Members Only thread on how you and others can't play nice.

Take it easy SnowFlapp, aka Moosed aka DarnokandSalad aka MauiDog.
No one else here has four aliases that I know of.

You and many others have a problem with Trump. Everyone is entitled to their opinion(a). However, many here have shared their viewpoints through logical and rational thought. I’ve found that many who spew hate on Trump seem to not be able to share rational thought on why. They just hate him. It’s that kind of blind hatred that is why people seem to eat up everything and anything negative that is put out there about Trump.

Personally, I’m not his biggest fan, but I can rationally give him credit where credit is due.

I have no problem with his policies. He's just a hilarious idiot.
Doesn't mean I wouldn't vote for him again.

He really let Hawaii down yesterday. It was an opportunity to step up and be a leader, offer some guidance or reassurance or something. Instead we got "Not my fault!' and then silence. As if he doesn't care at all because the majority here didn't vote for him. This after months of escalation talk that makes nuclear war much more likely than before.

I'm glad this thread isn't called Hillary but seriously f that guy.

Not the President's job to do the Governor's job.  Unless Ige asks for his help, Trump's doing exactly what he should do -- nothing.  There was no missile launch, so Trump's reaction should be, "Glad there was no launch but we're ready if it happens. Have a nice weekend."

You should be asking why Ige is showing no leadership.  He had no details and only apologies for the screw-up.  Isn't it his responsibility to make sure something this important is working without a chance for human error?

We also discovered more holes in the Hawaii emergency management plan.  Shelters were locked and inaccessible because ... it was a weekend?  Didn't Pearl Harbor get attacked on a Sunday?  It's not that difficult to expect, and plan for, an attack on the days when you're least prepared.

Ige wasn't having a dick measuring contest with KJU, which is pathetic enough on it's own without putting lives at risk.

And the dick measuring contest had ZERO to do with the false alarm yesterday, right?  Right?

Unless, there are North Korean spies working at Hawaii EMA.

Before you keep blaming Trump for the  mess with North Korea, maybe you should look at why we are even having such a mess.

http://www.cnn.com/2002/ALLPOLITICS/10/21/timep.n.korea.tm/

Quote
Confronted by the U.S., North Korea brazenly admits it's building nukes. Now what does President Bush do?

Trial lawyers preach a cardinal principle: never ask a question to which you don't know the answer. Diplomats
generally operate on the same basis.

So when the Bush Administration presented evidence to North Korean leaders on Oct. 3 that their country was
developing nuclear weapons, it expected the regime to lie about it. A day later came the shocker. Yes, we've
been secretly working to produce nukes, a top aide to "Dear Leader" Kim Jong Il told astonished U.S. envoy
James Kelly.

And, he added, we've got "more powerful" weapons--presumably meaning biological and chemical agents--to boot.
He was not apologetic at all, says a U.S. official, but "assertive, aggressive about it."

I'm saying he just showed he doesn't give a rat's ass about Hawaii. Not military, not the people who voted for him, none of us. He's been flaming NK for months because he'll get whisked away to an underground bunker to continue tweeting on his gold toilet while we ones who get crispifried first if the nukes start flying.

It's the absurdity of #MAGA. People defend his flaws because all the other options are so much worse.

We have 4 delegates from Hawaii in Congress who use every single opportunity they have to demean and tear down the President, his policies and his successes.

We have an Attorney General and Hawaii Judges who interfere with his Executive Orders, even though the Supreme Court rules in Trump's favor.

Just how much of a "rat's ass" would you give if in his shoes?

Our foreign policy was very weak before Trump. No one gave a crap. We were happy with the status quo. Then some country like NK rises because of being coddled by previous administrations we blame the current POTUS. Trump is dealing with NK very strong handedly. NK needed a spanking and a scolding. Now we're playing the same old tune of coddling the overweight hermit kingdom leader. He should have never had come to this point. Now he needs to be dealt with on a whole new level of democracy...with a big fat paddle.

Sanctions need to occur with companies from other countries who sell goods to NK. That includes companies from friendly countries and allies who will complain when companies from their country have their assets seized because they sold a tanker of oil or military parts to NK. The dictator has to be buying the missile/nuke parts from someone. I'm waiting for Trump to step up to the plate and sanction companies from those countries, even if it means breaking current contracts or treaties.

So what if Hawaii's lawmakers haven't been nice to him? What is he, a child? Is he so weak that he needs you to protect his feelings for him? All that hard work he's put in Twitter fighting a third world leader must have been stressful.

And as far as setting NK straight that's not our job. Never was, unless you believe that we are the world police in which case I'd invite you to look at what the last years of other empires look like a do your own comparison.

NK isn't a threat to anyone because they are well aware they'd be wiped out a soon as they tried anything. Up to now the situation has been contained even with the bone-headed diplomacy of the Obama era. The whole reason they have nukes is so that we will leave them alone, because they see what we do to other countries that don't have nukes.

I suppose they are a big threat if you are a shareholder in Lockheed and General Dynamics and want to see your stock go up. The worst thing that could happen to that crowd is peace breaking out. Which is why Democrats and Republicans are always looking for another war to fight. Without one our fake economy would crumble even faster.

So what?  Those delegates represent the whole state -- you included.

You can't sling lies and insults non-stop and expect kid glove treatment.

Once again, Trump had no reason to do more than he did for a false alarm.

When a country like North Korea violates a treaty, whose job is it to enforce the treaty?  Hint: US is an ally of South Korea and has agreed to concessions that directly affect US units and support in S. Korea.

energy solely for peaceful purposes; and not to possess facilities for nuclear reprocessing and uranium enrichment.
