I was unaware of her father's history as a Republican.  Might explain her Conservative-leaning stances on some issues, and her lack of lock-step marching with the Dem party.

If you want her motivations on how she votes or doesn't vote on any measure, you'll have to ask her.  All we can do is speculate without a public statement saying why.

As a Presidential candidate, she's going to have to avoid the "Orange Man Bad" platform to have any credibility with moderate Liberals and rust-belt Republicans who are considered swing voters.  It's too easy to be against someone, but much harder to be for specific policies and ideas to help the country -- and not to simply grab power for your party.

Her father proposed  a bill to change mag limits from 10 to 15rds here.  I forgot which forum member it was that wrote to him.  He then explained that some standard mags come with 17rds, so Gabbard amended the bill to 17rd limit.  But it didnt get any traction.  But IIRC he did support an anti 2a bill, I can't remember which one.  So 50/50 on him.

I wrote every single state legislator asking them to introduce and/or back bills to increase the handgun mag limit (which Gabbard was willing to amend once I explained the economy of purchasing "police trade-ins" online, most of which have 17 round mags), make CCW shall issue (I wanted "permitless open and CCW" but not even Gabbard would consider that), and repeal the ban on electric guns (only three states had such bans still in place... 5 years after the SCOTUS unanimous ruling in Caetano). Only Gabbard even responded, and he sponsored and introduced all three bills. Not one single one of them got even a first hearing in a first committee (believe me, I called and emailed the committee chairs, co-chairs and members). I don't recall precisely but he likely voted for several of the 21-to-import, mandatory report stolen, and/or red flag bills. Still, not one other legislator, including "my own", even responded to the requests at all. That's the best we got to chose from here.

So, you're saying it has nothing to do with Trump and should not have been posted in this thread?  That's what I thought.   :geekdanc:

Don't answer the question if you don't like it -- just attack the person asking it.  Leftist tactic.

So, you're confirming once again it has nothing to do with Trump.

I don't have to troll you.  You came at me and got smacked down.

1 could argue its due to Trumps people why Epstein is finally brought to justice.

Commiting suicide is a clinton tactic (56 staffers and secret sevrice agents died mysteriously in the past 10 years) all worked for the Clintons.

Barr reinstating death penatly, future set up for deep state prosecutions? Barr is Trumps appointee.

We all know after a failed suicide attempt, 1 goes into the fetal position. I say either gang rape or failed hit or even both.

Most definitely.   If Trump wasn't in office, Epstein would still be whoring minors. Hope all these disgusting pedifiles all get hanged.

MORE WINNING!!

SCOTUS rules that President Trump can use $2.5B of the Pentagon's budget on the border wall, overturning the 9th Circus injunction.

Go figure.

Even MORE WINNING on Friday .....

Trump struck a "safe third country" deal with Guatemala.  It would require migrants who pass through Guatemala en route to the U.S. to first seek asylum in that nation.

For those who haven't looked at a map of Central America lately, no one from Central or South America can walk/ride to Mexico -- and subsequently to the US -- unless they first pass through Guatemala with the exception of Belize.  The 3 largest origins of illegal immigrants coming to the US from Central America are El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras.

Would seem to make sense a defense budget could be used on border security.

Of course they had to waste taxpayer money on something!
