black dude will be back.
Merle will be back because 1. He is a major actor, 2. he is the only character made for the series that was not in the comics.
They might make lori child as the key to the cure, but who knows.

Walking dead is a 1990's comic made by Image, however the series is deviating it from the comics.
Like the ending of season 2 the girl is still alive in the comics as it suppose to reflect the innocence of RIck's son from enjoying killing zombies. In the comics as the seires progress the son starts to enjoy killing zombies but the girl who is suppose to be the same age keeps him from going to that blood lust. Now in the TV series she turned into a zombie at the end of season 2, so I dunno.... It did caught me by surprise however and how did they manage to show child killing on TV  onscreen wise :wtf:

The whole zombie crazed reflect on the times and science of the real world.
When George Romero created 1st created the Night of the Living dead the zombies was created from a fallen meteor and at the time we were sending stuff/people up into space.
Later his ideas of Zombie origins comes from biological weapons that was stored away by the military 1980s/1990s think Iraq using bios on the Kurds.
This time around it is pharmacies trying to create new drug and something went that went wrong (all those medical commercial you see on TV Viagra, Plavix, Tagment HB, etc and yet they specifically states on the commercial consult your physician and list the side effects on the commerical. )

Don't forget the the bird flu, swine flu scare that we had.

I just got to watch the the last episode tonight 1) I want a shotgun like Hershel's at least I know it would be endless ammo. 2) I would give carol dirty kracks. 3) I would feed Lori to the zombies that whiny little bitch. 4) I'd take the red neck over Shane any day.  All in all I can't wait for the next season.

Oh PS can someone please email the producers and tell them to at least put some recoil in the shooting scenes.

i don't like the sudden attitude changes of the characters.  It seems the writers just change characters attitudes just to make that particular episode "make sense" and then they switch it up again to make the next episode "make sense".

First Lori's all scared of Shane.  Warning Rick that he's dangerous and that he thinks Lori and Carl are his.  Then when Rick finally kills shane because shane brought him to the woods TO KILL HIM.....she gets all upset and is sad for shanes death.

Then there's Daryl.  He's really helpful, always going out to look for Sophia, being nice to Carol etc.  Then after they find Sophia as a zombie, he becomes an asshole that doesn't care about anyone, stays alone by himself far away from the house, tells Lori to go look for Rick herself, is an ass to Carol.  When they finally leave the farm, he's all caring and nice again.  Saying Rick is ok by him, having no problems taking orders from Rick.  Doesn't make any sense.

The sudden change in Rick really irritates me.  Throughout the entire series, he's done everything he could to protect his group and his family.  I mean the entire first half of the season was about looking for Sophia, putting himself and others at risk.  Then all of a sudden, when the farm is overrun, he's willing to ditch the group, including his wife?  Doesn't make any sense.

On top of that, Ricks attitude change just happens to coincide that everyones starting to doubt him just because he kept the secret from the CDC guy from everyone.  Rick kept the group alive the whole time.  They've been listening to him the whole time.  Then all of a sudden they think he's dangerous just because he kept that secret from them?

That's why i liked the first season a lot more than the 2nd.  It felt like season 1 was more thought out because it was more the typical "escape from the zombie infested city" and was easier to create interesting episodes for because the topic has been covered in many movies and videogames.  The flow of the series just made a lot more sense.

The whole show is freaking annoying. Too many extremes of personalities and not enough middle ground.

Rick - Paragon do-gooder who in the face of evil and survival, can't help but do the 'right' thing
Shane - Brutal survival mentality
Lori - can't for fuck's sakes keep her goddamn eyes on Carl.
Carol - Not much to say about the women. They play their important role in the survival group, but a whole season is not going to be dedicated in showing them washing clothes and prepping food.
Carl - 12 year old as helpless as a 2 year old
Dale - Patriarchal guardian
Daryl - Daryl's pretty alright with me.

Extremely high drama content, surprisingly low action content. Disappointing.

It's actually a lot like watching reality tv, but walking dead takes place in another world.

Still gonna watch it with the wife though. She loves it.

I'm sure Merle is part of the gang the two guys at the bar was part of.
