i don't like the sudden attitude changes of the characters. It seems the writers just change characters attitudes just to make that particular episode "make sense" and then they switch it up again to make the next episode "make sense".
First Lori's all scared of Shane. Warning Rick that he's dangerous and that he thinks Lori and Carl are his. Then when Rick finally kills shane because shane brought him to the woods TO KILL HIM.....she gets all upset and is sad for shanes death.
Then there's Daryl. He's really helpful, always going out to look for Sophia, being nice to Carol etc. Then after they find Sophia as a zombie, he becomes an asshole that doesn't care about anyone, stays alone by himself far away from the house, tells Lori to go look for Rick herself, is an ass to Carol. When they finally leave the farm, he's all caring and nice again. Saying Rick is ok by him, having no problems taking orders from Rick. Doesn't make any sense.
The sudden change in Rick really irritates me. Throughout the entire series, he's done everything he could to protect his group and his family. I mean the entire first half of the season was about looking for Sophia, putting himself and others at risk. Then all of a sudden, when the farm is overrun, he's willing to ditch the group, including his wife? Doesn't make any sense.
On top of that, Ricks attitude change just happens to coincide that everyones starting to doubt him just because he kept the secret from the CDC guy from everyone. Rick kept the group alive the whole time. They've been listening to him the whole time. Then all of a sudden they think he's dangerous just because he kept that secret from them?
That's why i liked the first season a lot more than the 2nd. It felt like season 1 was more thought out because it was more the typical "escape from the zombie infested city" and was easier to create interesting episodes for because the topic has been covered in many movies and videogames. The flow of the series just made a lot more sense.
