It all depends on how the law is written.
Massachusetts is the first state to ban Bump Stocks, effective Feb 1. They had 4 items turned in.
The stocks might have cost you $250, but the cops will take it off your hands for FREE. Won't cost you another cent. See how nice they are? No disposal fees, registration fees, or anything!
It's all in how you look at it.
They assume people are possibly sending them out of state, to another home the owner might have, or to be kept by a friend or relative. Regardless, If there are 4, there's probably more. Are they moving away, or is this noncompliance.
I bet Massachusetts has a lot of unfortunate boating accidents, too.
