and bring the Ruger Mark IV Hunter and do some plinking. probably put a few hundred rounds through it   :shaka:

How do you like your HK45 so far? Been thinking about picking one up

I like it a lot. The DA/SA trigger takes some getting used to, but I'm getting used to it and I like it. I was thinking about getting the compact version or the P30SK in 9mm for carry.

Nice  :geekdanc: The Grayguns short reset kit improves the trigger, if you're considering upgrades for the HK45:

The P30SK is pretty great, maybe a little chonky for a ccw (~1.3" thick), but I like mine. I may consider swapping it for a P30L if I can find a thinner carry gun.

Who is shooting this weekend?  Going to try to hit the range early on Sunday.  Then relax for the rest of the day.  Work has been kicking my a$$ lately.

You have a holster for it?

The DA/SA is something that I don't think I would ever get used to.  Or at least it would take me a while to iron out the kinks.  I have a couple of DA/SA guns, including my CZ SP-01 Shadow, which is primarily for competition.  I have to really concentrate on the first DA pull. The DA pull on that gun is super smooth, so it doesn't take a whole lot to make adjustments.  But I do certainly notice first shot "deviation" when I have not shot DA/SA in a while.  But eh, in a defensive situation, a hit to the groin/pelvis is effective, right?

Just gotta watch out for those "low and left" folks. . .  ;D

Have fun tomorrow! :shaka:

Thinking of going to the pistol side on Wednesday or Thursday.  Hopefully my daughter won't ask me to nanny sit my grandaughter.  But if have to, that's ok. ;D
Sometimes you gotta know when to save your bullets.

Who is shooting this week and weekend?

I'll be shooting some carbine and pistol this weekend.  Might try to hit the range for some bolt action centerfire, if I can find some time to load up some ammo.

A big project that I've been working on for the past 2+ years goes final in the next couple of weeks, so hope to hit the range more later this year.

changed my mind on the P30SK......for now anyways.  I'll put it on hold for now, but it's on my radar for the future.  I really like this HK SA/DA safety/decocker setup. it was different at first, but now it's beginning to grow on me
went with the HK45C instead.........for now

I'll test fire the HK45C this weekend   :geekdanc:

Shoot a USPSA match!  There occasionally is one shooter using a DA/SA HK.  I haven't shot a match in a while, so not sure if he/she/it still goes.

Well some do drop their mags in the dirt.  But they always wipe them off after picking them up before going back into the pouch.

Gonna test out the Shield, FMJ and HP.  Haven't decided on HDF (sat) or HRA (sun) yet. Not taking the HDF skill builder, so unsure if I wanna wake up early for the HDF open shoot.

Cool.  Haven't decided if I'm going to hit the range this weekend.  If I do, I'll likely be shooting the new P320 and maybe the 43x.
