China wouldn't have to invade, once 70% percent of the state's nation's income vanishes China will gladly step in to "help". Unfortunately for the new nation of Hawaii, China has a "no f#@ks given" attitude in regards to the current politically correct and entitlement mindset that has allowed this situation to get to its current point. Absolutely.  All the so-called state laws enacted after 1898 would be subject to void.

That is the point that many of these so-called Hawaiian sovereignty groups don't realize.  Since Hawaii was being illegally occupied, it never lost sovereignty.  As such, post-occupation Hawaii would theoretically revert back to what it was prior to 1898.  The discussion now is whether it would be the Hawaiian Kingdom that would return or the Republic.

If it is to be the Kingdom, after the death of Princess Kaiulani, there is no automatic legal heir to the throne.  An election would have to take place to decide on the new reigning monarch per the Hawaiian Constitution of 1864.

If it is to be a republic, the transition from the US would be much more familiar and smoother.  Much better option.


Plus all the haole still here with rifles who may not agree.

Inconsequential until such haole apply for official permanent residency or become legal citizens, once those processes become available.

No civil war looks pretty, but I could see one potentially start after deoccupation takes place.

It is unreasonable to think deoccupation would only take a day.  It would definately take more than a few months or even years for it to be fully completed like in the case of Hong Kong from the UK to China.

At least in the first few years, most things would stay the same.  Why would anyone create unnecessary disruption?  The problems Hawaii faces today would not change just because there is a change in the ruling flag being waved.  The main welcomed difference; however, would be that those in-charge of making Hawaii a better place won't be the firearm unfriendly old-school Democratic Party that has dominated the islands since 1959.

I would really hope the ruling monarch sees both sides of the TMT issue and make the most pono decision, accordingly.  There are positives and negatives in regards to the TMT issue.

They can appoint me as monarch.  Since I am not of Hawaiian ancestry, I will be able to treat all families equally.  Just as Queen Kapiolani challanged Pele and nothing happened, proving Pele to be a false god, I would allow the TMT to be built.  All who claimed the mountain was sacred would be forced to live there for the rest of their lives, which shouldn't be too long given the harsh conditions there.
