Interesting find partially thanks to the telescopes up Mauna Kea
Actually it usually takes more than one telescope to determine the parameters
expressed in the video. Telescopes all over the world with different capabilities are
used to characterize such a finding.
I've always viewed this hunt for life outside of earth as a waste of money and talent.
It is all about trying to disprove the existence of a "creator".
Statistically if you buy into the Science that life developed from a "primordial Goo"
life will be everywhere. But what good is that when, with the present physics we
know about, that life, is so far away, in time, that it is, irrelevant.
I'm not trying to get religious here. I made a very good living working on Mauna Kea.
I think that their work should continue, as long as I don't have to pay to support it.
But it is as much BS as the "Sacredness" of a rock in the middle of the Pacific.
Money talks and the whole thing is about money.
