done and done

Mayor Caldwell / Governor Ige,
I would like to urge you to open Kokohead shooting complex as soon as possible. The shooting range would be relatively easy to maintain social distancing guidelines and maintain cleanliness.  It would be easier to enforce than all other parks because there are Range Safety Officers at the range to enforce rules, and you have to sign in to use the range. No other parks do this.  In all other parks there is little to no enforcement of rules.  Not so at Kokohead Shooting Complex. Therefore it is easier to track users of the park and easier to enforce rules at the shooting range than it is at any other park.  The shooting range is a well used park, many citizens are anxiously waiting for it to reopen. Please reopen Kokohead Shooting Complex ASAP.
thank you,

The shooting range is a well used park, many citizens are anxiously waiting for it to reopen. Please reopen Kokohead Shooting Complex ASAP.

Never ceases to amaze me that
you think talking to Democrats will
work?
It is like dealing with a Rabid animal.
It is illegal to kill Democrats,
but you can avoid, deprive them of
food,  and water, and wait it out.
Mean while do as you please.
BI style.

I actually don't think it will do anything.  but its better than doing nothing
its like voting in Hawaii. not one person that I have ever voted for in my life here in Hawaii has won their office. bc we live in a democratic state, my vote does not count.  but i'll keep voting bc its better than doing nothing.
people can say "you have to vote these people out of office"  yeah, easier said than done

#1 We don't live in a "Democratic" state or most of us on this
site would be dead. It is supposedly a Republic.
#2 Our votes are useless because we are afraid to fix the problems.
At this point I think only guns will work and since Hawaiians agree
AND cooperate to ask the Government for permission to own one,
you have already lost.
#3 I abide by all Constitutional federal, state and local laws.
I don't need a Democrat judge to read and interpret those
documents to me.  They are pretty explicit.

Email Hawaii news now and ask them to add a segment regarding Koko Head.  That should put pressure on the mayor.

Shooting ranges are listed federally as "essential", along with gun stores. Let us pray this leads to more local politicos being "Kealoha'd" by bad orange man.

got this reply from Ige's office.  looks like they don't like getting emails about kokohead, its the Mayor's call according the governor

Quote
Dear Mr. ********:

Thank you for contacting our office on May 15, 2020 regarding the Koko Head Shooting Complex during COVID-19. Your correspondence would be best directed to the City and County of Honolulu, which controls this area.

The global spread of the virus that causes COVID-19 is very concerning to the governor. This is a rapidly changing situation, and the governor continues to work with county, state and federal partners to gather information and make decisions to protect thehealth of Hawaiʻi's residents, particularly those most vulnerable - our kupuna and those with chronic health conditions.

In efforts to support ongoing State and County responses to COVID-19, the Governor has issued several emergency proclamations which can be reviewed at  https://governor.hawaii.gov/category/newsroom/emergency-proclamations/

Governor David Ige and Alan Oshima, Hawaiʻi's Economic and Community Recovery and Resiliency Navigator, plan to keep the community safe while beginning to reopen designated sectors. They are connecting with business and community representatives to gatherinput, share ideas, and provide ways we can create Hawaiʻi's "new normal."

The planning phases include stabilization (immediate health and economic needs), recovery (job growth and investment), and resiliency (restructuring for a stronger future). It is important to envision the entire chain of economic recovery - from agricultureand energy to tourism, non-profits and social services - and how to rebrand Hawaiʻi as not just a pretty place, but a safe, healthy state that depends on residents and visitors alike acting responsibly. Learn more or submit ideas at http://recoverynavigator.hawaii.gov.

We appreciate you taking the time to share your views and suggestions with us and we will consider your comments along with all other public input as we strive to keep communities healthy across Hawaiʻi.

With warmest regards,

Office of the Governor
 State of Hawaiʻi

or in other words, we don't know when it will reopen.  talk the the mayor bc we too busy doing nothing
