I apologize that's its come to this. I guess in the end i am pro abortion and you are all anti. We will never come to see eye to eye. This judge threatens my values and views on freedom so I can't fully support her. She supports your values so you can. Everyone keeps blaming emotion, but we are all human and powered by them. I sincerely hope you are all correct and she will faithfully do her job with no bias. I have no power to change her not getting in the job. All I have is a way to vent my concerns to you all. Sorry it's gotten to this level. I just really value freedom. Thanks for listening and I hope everyone the best.
You just pinpointed one of the reasons you are unable to have a productive discussion on this topic.
Your label of "Pro-Abortion" tells me you think that is an acceptable form of birth control, and it should be not just available and legal, but PROVIDED ON DEMAND WITHOUT ANY CONDITIONS AND AT INSURANCE OR TAX PAYER EXPENSE.
The more PC position for your belief is called Pro-Choice". But most on that side, just like you, don't discuss any other choices. You think abortion is the best, often the only, answer.
Likewise, your label of "Anti-Abortion" is not accurate for the opposing side. It's called "Pro-Life".
I think every decision related to an unwanted pregnancy is difficult, but if you think life has value and meaning, then you'll consider options (CHOICES) which preserve life -- that of the child and that of the mother.
In rare, extreme circumstances (rape, incest, actual threat to the mother's life), abortion is not only a valid choice, but it may be the best choice. That's far from "Anti-Abortion." But what's happening now is nowhere near "safe, legal and rare," as the Left once chanted when marching for Roe v Wade.
PP doesn't provide "Planning" services for "Parents." Their organization's name is a true oxymoron. Planning implies "before action is taken."
PP, in that same context, does not believe in CHOICE. They don't have a 100,000 person staff of lawyers and legal secretaries assisting patients with adoptions. Instead, they use the vast majority of their revenue to perform thousands upon thousands of abortions. If they offered adoption services, post-birth motherhood classes and family support services, maybe you could call them Pro-Choice."
In reality, Planned Parenthood is exactly like you: "Pro-Abortion."
