But I did notice the difference in questions that Trump was asked vs. Biden.  The questions seemed to further push the media's narrative about how they want to portray Trump. 1 example is on many of my news feeds about white supremacist and the militia.  When did the militia become a symbol of racism?  Trump already addressed WS a few times and the media ask  him the same question again.  Then they didn't ask Biden the same question.  And the Proud Boys are white supremacist?  The Hawaii chapter is run by a guy who's married to a black girl (Nick Ochz), before their Hawaii chapter FB got deleted, I saw pics and half their members are Asian.  More fake news trying to make a story and push a narrative.

Biden seemed to be addressing the TV more just to get votes.  Kind of like the movie The Campaign, how at the end of a question they say "support the troops" and get cheers no matter what the response to the question was about.

Trump did a good job defending why he cut certain things when asked about it.  Of course, those who get their info from other sources other than the fake news, already was aware of why.

Technical point:  an earpiece small enough to go unseen would not have the power or distance required to be heard when the person transmitting had to be well concealed from view.  Therefore, a wire is needed to provide power and reception capability by connecting the earpiece to a battery/receiver device.

That's my theory.  Even BlueTooth has range and line-of-sight limitations.

I only caught the last 30 minutes of the debate but heard much of the sound bites on the radio today.

Trump was his usual self and got some good jabs in. Biden got a few jabs in as well and didn't seem like he had dementia. They both missed a few good opportunities to hit each other. They also both fumbled some of their answers as well.

But the biggest take away was what a mess it all was. Yelling and talking over each other, no sticking to the rules they all agreed on. It was rather embarrassing. The networks need to grow some balls and have mute buttons as soon as the speaker's time is up,

Trump kind of flubbed the white supremacist question. If you listen clearly he did say "sure" when he was asked to condemn white supremacists but the rest of his answer rather failed.

I didn't listen to each question Wallace asked the candidates but he did hit Biden with some tough ones too, especially when he asked him about ANTIFA. Biden kind of screwed the pooch with his answer. Trump got in a good jab but it devolved before Biden managed to say anything more dump on the subject.

IF you need an example of how unfair the questions were, you have only to look at the wildfire question.  Chris Wallace framed the question in a way that required them to accept that wildfires, hurricanes, floods and other natural disasters are the direct result of manmade climate change.

It was a setup question for Trump.  Wallace created a false association between the wildfires and climate change, which required Trump to either accept that premise, or spend part of his time explaining why a more rational and immediate solution for wildfires involved better forest management -- which is 100% true.  With debris cleanup, thinning out overgrowth, taking away rotten or diseased trees, and establishing firebreaks in key locations, the fires can be brought under control quicker, reduce their severity, and provide protection for populated areas.

This subtopic should have never been included in a climate change question.  Totally dishonest framing designed to trip Trump up and give Biden a chance to push his talking points on the Green New Deal -- which he did -- and then immediately denied he supports the GND.   

Yeah, the moderator did his job -- framed the questions so Biden could get his talking points on the air, and to trap Trump with irrational compound questions.

Also, even Snopes, that bastion of truth and unbiased accuracy  said the claim that Trump wanted to nuke hurricanes is "UNPROVEN."  That's another way of saying FALSE.

Basically, Trump connected with that punch, and Biden tried to duck after taking the hit.  The referee called Biden back to his corner before Trump had a chance to capitalize..

You couldn't make this up if you tried.   

I'm looking forward to the next series of debates, even though this first one was a bit annoying, it was hard following when both of them were trying to talk over the other.

Just heard on HNN that the debate commission will be implementing some changes on how the debate will be conducted.

I watched the first 40 mins or so.  Lots of interrupting each other, but the parts that I saw wasn't the "complete shit show" that I saw on many social media feeds after is was done. 

What I did notice is that Biden was seemingly flustered and when that happened, what I believe is his true character comes out.  When he got flustered, I felt that he reverted to a wannabe tough guy who is used to always getting his way by intimidation.  A couple of times, Biden sort of was like "come on man, I'll. . . " then awkward pause where he seems to have caught himself, then "just shut up".  Sort of like when he was confronted by the blue collar guy about firearms.  True nature coming out, no matter how his handlers try to prepare him.

Another thing I noticed was Biden appealing to emotional pleas to counter data and facts.  Again, Biden seemed to have been coached on certain things.  Even a few times, Wallace caught him and was like "that's not the question". 

To clarify, I don't care for Trump, but like a lot of what he has done for this country.  Is he "Presidential"?  I think he could act better, but it's not his actions that matter, at least to me.  It's the results.  But after all of that, Biden is 100000% worse.  I don't see any positives in Biden and I would bet that well over half of the people that support Biden do so just because of their irrational hate for Trump, while not knowing anything about what Biden would do for America.
