Who is everyone voting for this year (president)
« on: October 07, 2020, 07:14:56 AM »
I am curious to everyone's voting this year.  This poll is mostly anonymous from what I gather.  Personally I am voting Biden this year.  Trump lost my vote, I was going to none vote but fuck it the last week pushed me over the edge.  I voted for Trump last year.  This is going to be my first democrat vote ever I think.

Recently the topic of silent majority vs vocal minority came up, while I doubt its the case on this forum who knows.

Edit*

Voted by mail.  Ended up voting for libertarian.

Stop, you’re gonna further push him over the edge.

If just “last week” is what is making or breaking one’s choice for election for POTUS, they either completely are missing main points or haven’t been paying attention. He must be taking “swing vote” too literally... 🤦🏻‍♂️

Much to wife’s, and 2 daughter’s chagrin, I’m still on the Trump wagon for four more years.
My brother has the same problem in his household.
Out voted 3 to1 in our own houses.

Convinced Trump has divided society, as well as households.
There is no discussing it with whoever is on what side.

Still think Trump’s a social media dumbass and says stupid shit, does stupid shit and lies through his teeth ( exaggerates)
But he’s actually done a pretty decent job for the Country. ( other than acting Presidential)

Biden’s just pure incompetent.
Scares me to think he might be President.

I went from not voting for anyone to voting for Biden to clarify.

Trump lost my vote sometime during this covid crisis.
His social media is to distain for,  he has done nothing major for gun rights, nothing good for freedom, nothing for the environment, nothing for anything I care about.   Only thing good he has done is wage a shitty battle against china and get us out of the middle east.

I feel Biden will be just useless and if republicans hold congress we can just wait 4 more years.  I don't know if the world or America can survive 4 more years of trump.

Was over a friend's house this past weekend and this subject came up (def not by me).  In past convos (over "teas") this family (two brothers who are my very close friends and their extended family) were definitely "anybody but Trump".  However, dunno what happened, but the tide has changed.  They aren't FOR Trump, BUT they have changed their tune to "I still fucking hate Trump, but Biden will be way worse".  I was shocked!  Anyways, it can happen.

If you want to talk about dividing society, I still think Obama was the best at doing that.  Just in a way that many American's didn't realize, as well as "low information methods".  JMHO.

That's some of the most ignorant stuff I've ever heard anyone say, and you've already said a lot.

Ok, I'll play along.  Just why is Trump SO bad for America?  And why exactly is it Trump's fault. . .

Just why is Trump SO bad for "the World"?  And why exactly is it Trump's fault. . .

And if you only have "muh feelings", don't even bother to respond. . .

Holding my nose as usual,  I vote Trump.
I don't like Republicans and I despise Democrats.
But this is our reality.
Pray to God, that Americans survive this.
Keeping Democrats around is no gain and them
being gone is no loss.
I refuse to believe that any modern Democrat is an American.

He failed at Covid,  so idk hundreds of thousands of Americans deaths are perhaps slightly bad for America.  He could of handled things far better, in the beginning he banned travel which was good after that everything he did was bad.
I may be one of the few that believe in climate change here, but all his policies are negatively affecting the climate, from coal to oil to fracking to not embracing renewable energy.
He fought China just a little bit but has fumbled that and China is getting stronger and bolder than ever.  Iran is going to make a nuke and North Korea dont give a fuck about the USA.
Hopefully you can connect the dots so I don't need to explain the exacts of his policies which I am talking about.

Please tell me what amazing wonderful things he has done for us.  I'm all ears.  I know he didn't do jack shit for the 2nd amendment or gun rights.

Climate change   The issue, oh supremely enlightened one isn't dispute that climate is changing.  It is ALWAYS changing.  The issue is what is the cause and what regulations, cost to Americans, etc are warranted.  Again, if you're going to argue a point, make sure you actually know what you're talking about.  Going off half cocked only makes you look more and more ignorant.

COVID?  Ok, riddle me this.  Had the media not blitzed things into "Global Pandemic", would your irrational fears have changed?  To clarify, I'm not saying that COVID isn't serious, but explain to me exactly how you think Trump failed?  If you're going to compare responses of other countries, please cite specific examples, and don't be like "well, North Korea did this".  Would you rather have had Trump shut down WA, CA, and NY and closed off the states at the height of things there?

So Trump is also a failure at foreign policy because China is getting stronger and bolder?  Ok, tell me how Obama was any better and Biden would be better.

So again, which policies are you referring to?  You seem to know everything, enlighten us old fogies.

My point, is that people who have this irrational hatred for Trump typically don't have a rational answer for why the alternative is better.
