Knowing or maliciously is different.   It should be common sense if you are sick don't try spread it.  There is a level of self responsibility.  Just like drunk driving.

Almost like taking precautions to not get someone else / yourself pregnant....

Responsibility.

Knowingly having HIV while having unprotected sex, and without informing your partner, used to be a felony.

The lawmakers changed it to a misdemeanor.  This was reported almost exactly 3 years ago.

https://www.nbcnews.com/feature/nbc-out/new-california-law-reduces-penalty-knowingly-exposing-someone-hiv-n809416

That fucking stupid and I've seen my share of stupid laws.  At least its still a crime, but that 100% should have remained a felony.   That's straight up attempted murder but instead of a knife you use a virus.

 :stopjack:  as you would say.

But I gotta comment.  Being irresponsible and getting someone pregnant or being pregnant doesn't harm innocent people.  Big difference.

If you could drive drunk and the only one ever to get hurt/die was yourself I would say that it should be legal.

So, should you also make it illegal for people to go to work if they have flu-like symptoms -- assuming they test negative now for COVID-19?  They are knowingly exposing people to an illness, too.  The flu is deadly, just not as much as HIV.

You never met/talked to a woman who just had an abortion, have you?

It's not without harm.  Some women have associated multiple abortions with sterility.  Others have bled to death from complications afterward.  Then there's the psychological and mental harm that sometimes doesn't manifest for many years.

I'm not even including the unborn, either.

Doesn't harm people?

Clarification
Abortion is the decision to  take a life on purpose.
Abortion was the Leading Cause of Death Worldwide in 2019 ...about 58.6 million deaths world-wide in 2019,
In America, just under 1 million babies are aborted every year and abortion remains the leading cause of death in the United States .
An estimated 61 million unborn babies have been killed in abortions in the U.S. since Roe v. Wade in 1973.

US Covid deathsto date is 214,100
Avg Us Life expectancy  F 79yrs  M 76yrs

Average age of coronavirus fatalities is 82

Age 85 +, 61,172 died from covid related but over 9x as many, (521,434) died from other causes.

Age 75-84 52,618 died from covid related but 8x as many (414,252) died from other causes.

Age 65-74 42,950 died from covid related but 9x as many (379,092) died from other causes.

Hawaii's Covid deaths stand at 169.
2019 flu deaths were 240, 1/3 more than the current  C-19 deaths in a shorter time.
Even with vaccination available, 900,000 Americans were hospitalized and 80,000 died.

p.s. If I choose not wear a mask as my right, you have a right to choose to stay locked in your house.  :closed:

I have. Didn't harm them.  And even if it did, its their choice.  Doesn't harm you or me.

I am going to make a new thread for abortion to hopefully get this back on topic.

Hawaii locked down, if he didn't I'm sure the covid would be higher than the flu right now.

p.s.  sure if you were to deliver all my necessities so I don't have to leave the house.  And fund my un-ability to go back to work because you are exercising your right to endanger people.

You can own a gun, you can shoot it on your property.  But if a bullet comes into my window you gotta fix it and are responsible.

The irony is that you were fine with a lockdown but you didn't have a problem going out buying new guns and trying to register them during this situation.

More like a germaphobe with an irrational fear of a specific virus.

You are sick.  You go to work.  You infect others,  they die.

You are not sick.  A sick person goes to your work.  They get you sick.   You either can die or pass on to your parents or friends and they can die.
