Omni,

Want to help the world, every country should have a Bill of Rights like the USA and politicians who obey them.  People being arrested in non-3rd world countries over news articles, FB post, plans of gathering outside, etc...

And if you were serious, you should do more.  Even Jane Faunda visited Vietnam to protest against the war.  So I give her credit for doing that.

Or maybe you should run for office if you're old enough.  You're younger than me so IDK if you gotta wait or not.  But IDK if I would vote for you.  You might join Takeshi Ohno and want to ban cars cause of green stuff.  But if you promise CCW then maybe you might get my vote.  I rather have an electric car and CCW vs. gas car and no CCW.

Lol I'm a little bit more practical than that.   I'm not exactly political material.  As you can see here I'm not a political suckup.  Lacking a lil bit of empathy and opinionated. Not really a politician.  You gotta be broadly likable lol.

I agree every country should have the bill of rights.  Fuck China or dictator or communist counties.

OK, now we’re getting somewhere. That you aren’t an engineer and didn’t do enough research was apparent, but you went into the arguments like you knew it all and had all the answers, and frankly was condescending with your “you do know that”. That’s why I called you out on those things, well, because while I have a bit of experience in those topics, it was certainly enough to know you were way out of your swim lane and trying to talk down to others. Personally, I think you’re not far off, just that the way you approach arguments is pretty  :grrr:

Take abortion or Cuties thing, I didn’t know much. I wasn’t arguing facts with you. I was pointing out my opinion that your logic of “no tangible harm not really harm, therefore all good” was faulty. That just because you believed things were all good, you couldn’t see why others would have an objection.

I agree I could of done some things better,  but life is a learning process. Sorry everyone is with me in this process. But the environment of this forum is such that I am mostly the underdog.  Selective facts and echo chamber is a hard battle to fight.  This isn't unique to here.  When I argue with leftists its similar.. its really hard being in the middle and not fitting in on either side.  Both sides should be more open.   Some arguments I am less knowledgeable and it does show. Unfortunately I don't have to much free time working 60hrs a week and keeping everything up in life.

I unfortunately don't have enough time to dig back in the past.

But, you do have time to reply to every single post on every single topic on this forum.

Apparently, you are more interested in winning the debate than learning from the other person.

When you want to share your point of view without trying to "win a debate", it's called a discussion.

Maybe you should leave your debates on 4Chan and Reddit and try discussing topics here?

Just a suggestion  (I feel another debate coming....).

1) That’s why I called you ignorant. It wasn’t slander, it was an observation. And not having time is a cop out. If you don’t know, then you don’t know. But when you run your mouth like you know it all, esp in a condescending manner, you’re gonna get called on it.

2) About the echo chamber, it’s like that on many sides. A bunch of friends of mine are rabid on both sides and their convos tend to be with single/hive minded. That said, like mentioned before by others, this is a 2a board.

How surprising is it that this gun group called Gun owners for safety pops up a couple of weeks before the general election?

:stopjack:  (sorry.....just hoping more discussion on this gun group can be shared........ :shaka:)

Yes I was thinking of voting for him.  Didn't in the end, but as strongly as I believe in the 2nd amendment there's more to life than guns.  I got other values too.  Maybe I am doing this wrong, I am trying to better the gun community and the world.  I have no ill will. Just trying to do what I think is correct.  I have strong opinions on things and am unapologetic about that.  If you are offended I am sorry.  But I fight for what I believe in my own way.  Don't get me wrong I fight for gun rights to democrats ALL the time.  Trying to talk to them about gun rights and immigration causes just as much scorn as abortion and lgbt here.  They probably hate me too for some of my opinions that lean republican.  If I have to be hated to improve the world, so be it.  I try and get along with everyone I can.  But I won't bend my opinions to do so.   We can disagree on things and still be friends.

You need to remember the 2nd protects all other rights/amendments from being taken away by a tyrannical government so the 2nd gives a way to fight back if all avenues fail to correct the injustices of a tyrannical government.  Otherwise you better start learning to speak Chinese (I suck at learning a second language but I'm great at building a rifle/pistol).

Most gun owners are for safety.  The majority just disagree that further restricting guns owned by law abiding will make anyone safer -- in fact, they can make gun owners less safe.

If a group thinks gun regulations are the answer to "safety", then they don't have a solution -- they have an agenda.

You can't help it.  Even when you can't argue with my post, you still have to troll me.

I still haven't seen anything useful in your posts that add to the threads.

Just give it up.

"I agree" adds nothing useful.  Might as well just click the "like" button and move along....   :geekdanc:

Sadly, I think Biden will win with these last minute tactics. Voters like Omnigun will turn it towards a Biden victory and most certainly we will see an erosion of our 2A rights. We have undeniable evidence from both Biden, Harris and other potential admin members state that they will take our firearms away.

You know if everyone was like me Biden would lose.  I didn't vote for him in the end.

And YOU should know, not everyone who hates Trump is in a state where their vote doesn't count, like is the case in Hawaii.

Every vote in a swing state matters very much.

If we had not convinced you (or if you'd skipped lunch that day) with the realization that Biden was the predetermined winner in Hawaii, and that your vote really won't matter no matter who you cast your ballot for, I think it unlikely you would have forced yourself to NOT vote AGAINST Trump with a Biden vote -- versus wasting it on a 3rd party.

Yeah but at least women will still be able to have late term abortions and Energy companies will flee America under the regulations and taxes that Biden will impose. Meanwhile China and India will gladly take those jobs while they continue to pollute the planet anyway. Makes sense
