yup, we used to play tag and hide and seek and skyeening (one word)
only rule was to be back by dinner time..
Classic, skyeening started as sky inning (in Haole), it got East side and turned into skyeening, got to Windward side and was sky heenie.
Yup, back before the street lights came on was our neighborhoods rule.
What about Manapua Man going through every neighborhood.
Every body leaving their slippers outside the classroom at recess and running around bare foot.
So much Old School shenanigans and traditions would not be allowed or tolerated now days at all.
Can imagine your kid showing up at school telling the boys “Let’s play smear the queer”
No red rover or shambattle allowed in school any more.
No swings at the park or seesaws or even real monkey bars and real high slides.
