Please explain where you got the "3 million dead people" figure.

Do I really need to explain the math?   Of the population of the USA and a 1% average death rate?

These are actions someone like Fauci is not in a position to handle.  Saying you would put him in charge of the pandemic response is just ... wrong.

Clearly putting the expert in the subject in charge is the bad idea   Turned out so great for us now.

I bet if your doctor told you had an health issue you would want yourself or your wife in charge of your treatment plan cause you and your family are in charge of your overall life.  Don't need no experts.

No. 1% of those that are infected AND only if they develop complications. There are no absolutes.

Exactly.  The entire population of the US is not at high risk.  At least a quarter million, more than likely many more, are already immune.  There are who knows how many that never tested and had the asymptomatic infection, or so mild they never sought treatment.  And the age of the US population matters.  The median age in the US is 38.3 years.  So half the nation is older than that, and half are younger.  That tells me only about a quarter are in the high risk age bracket.

So many variables to think about, and OMG only looked at .... NONE.  He took a total population number, multiplied by a percentage, and came up with "3 million dead people".

Oh, if life were only as simple as OMiGod.

If this John Hopkins report is correct, we've been had.  Study had to do with total deaths by age groups and even when seniors are concerned.... no appreciable death increase even with Covid or without.  Sheets!  We've been fucked royally.https://web.archive.org/web/20201122214034/https://www.jhunewsletter.com/article/2020/11/a-closer-look-at-u-s-deaths-due-to-covid-19 >:(

A lot of people are going to be very angry when this gets out. These proto-commies destroyed lives for nothing.

Not sure what that person is talking about.... there's more deaths than average this year.... that's including that we go out less so less car deaths etc.

In general, people are being selfless and are not seeking medical help for what they perceive as minor issues, which are likely resulting in increased deaths. A lot of people have strokes, heart attacks and other acute medical emergencies and if they are at work with people around, they are likely to get the help they need. If they are home alone, less likely to get help. Same theory as having a stroke in your sleep vs having a stroke at work in front of people. I am interested to see how many more people died of sepsis during the lockdowns versus 2018 and 2019.

Also, a lot of shinanigans are happening with COVID funding and budgeting. Lots of workarounds going on. I am interested to see the final figures on hotel room rentals the state used to prop up the hotel industry and how much, if any of that money, went back into state coffers as a TAT, etc. Interesting stuff going on here.

Yeah.  For 3 million people to die of the virus it means everybody in the US has to be infected.

Yeah.  For 3 million people to die of the virus it means everybody in the US has to be infected.
And everybody  in the US would have to be over 70 with 2.6 comorbidities.

Over 70 is closer to 5%....1% is a decent average for all ages.

and also, that's the CUMULATIVE data
you need to look at current data, as in patients that have been in treatment RECENTLY ("third wave" to you coronabros)
