Earlier I posted a lengthy detailed article by Dr. Rushworth re the false positive testing issues and cycle thresholds. Here's a simpler version without all the math. No one in Hawaii (gov, lt. gov, mayor, DOH, Civil Defense, etc.) will respond to my questions, which includes "What percentage of RT-PCR tests were performed at each cycle threshold? Or, at the very least, what percentage of tests used a cycle threshold greater than 34?" Simple question, why no response? [The "rumor' is that most labs are using 40 amplification cycles.]

State health departments across country failing to collect critical COVID-19 pandemic data

"Cycle threshold" information for COVID tests remains largely absent from state data.

https://justthenews.com/politics-policy/coronavirus/state-health-departments-across-country-are-failing-collect-critical

Excerpt:

State health departments across the country are by-and-large failing to collect critical data related to COVID-19 tests, omitting from state data a key metric by which officials and the public might judge the severity of the pandemic in the U.S.

For months, testing has been viewed by leaders and medical officials worldwide as an indispensable tool for addressing the coronavirus pandemic. COVID-19 tests have been cited as both a way to determine the disease's prevalence in a given region and as a way for individuals who have previously tested positive for the virus to confirm that they are no longer infected.

The National Institutes of Health in September referred to testing as "the key to getting back to normal," stating that "testing as many people as possible" is a highly important feature of "control[ling] the COVID-19 pandemic."

Yet the broad reliability and/or relevance of those tests has over the course of the pandemic been brought under scrutiny by media reports and comments from health officials and experts. Investigations by both Just the News and the New York Times have revealed that many of the "positive" test results recorded throughout the country may actually denote nothing more than fragments of dead COVID virus picked up by overly sensitive testing equipment.

The issue hinges on the method by which many COVID-19 tests detect the viral load within a sample taken from a patient. Polymerase chain reaction — or PCR — tests are among the most popular diagnostic tools to detect the COVID-19 virus. They work by amplifying DNA from a viral sample to the point that an antigen can be detected and classified.

The "cycle threshold" is the number of amplification cycles a PCR test goes through before it determines the presence of a virus. The lower the cycle, the higher the viral load from the original sample; a higher cycle, on the other hand, means that the machine had to work longer and harder to detect a scant amount of virus in the original sample.

Higher-cycle "positive" tests potentially indicate that a patient is non-infectious and at little health risk from the virus; those results may also indicate that a patient need not subject himself to strict quarantine measures, given the potential lack of infectivity.

This factor is well-known among infectious disease experts. In July, for instance, Anthony Fauci, the director of the National Institute for Allergy and Infectious Diseases — admitted during a podcast that "if [a patient gets] a cycle threshold of 35 or more ... the chances of it being replication-confident are minuscule."

"If somebody does come in with 37, 38, even 36, you got to say, you know, it's just dead nucleotides, period," Fauci said during the interview.

It is not clear to what extent positive COVID-19 tests in the U.S. represent non-infectious cases or mere fragments of coronavirus. The New York Times in its August investigation determined that based on a review of test data from three different states, "up to 90 percent of people testing positive carried barely any virus."

Deputies dragged off this NYC bar owner in handcuffs for trespassing on his own property

On Tuesday, Danny Presti, the co-owner of Mac's Public House on Staten Island was arrested by deputies. His crime? Trying to enter his own bar.

Presti's pub is in an area marked as an "orange zone" by Gov. Andrew Cuomo, and as such, they aren't supposed to be serving customers indoors under coronavirus restrictions.

Because Gov. Andy knows best.

This is the same pub that declared itself an "autonomous zone" last month and has already been fined thousands of dollars by the city for staying open amid draconian lockdown orders that have unfairly targeted bars and restaurants over other businesses.

NYC bar declares itself autonomous zone, "will not back down" as Cuomo and company try to make it close.

Hey, guys. I just checked, and guess what? It's STILL 2020!

https://notthebee.com/article/nyc-bar-is-now-an-autonomous-zone-after-being-shut-down-by-covid-police

Well according to Sheriff Joseph Fucito, deputies executed a sting operation against Mac's in which deputies in plainclothes went into the bar on Tuesday and ordered food and gave a recommended donation that the bar had in place to skirt the letter of the law.

That's when they started handing out tickets. Well, Presti didn't like that and was charged with obstruction of governmental administration and other charges related to unauthorized food and beverage service (at his own bar). Presti's lawyers say he was essentially arrested for trespassing when he tried to enter his own bar as the deputies were blocking the entrance.

[Tweet with video of attorney for bar owner: https://twitter.com/i/status/1333938346675068929]

A crowd of supporters booed and jeered at law enforcement officers as they took Presti away in handcuffs.

Yeah, folks were not happy:

[Tweet video of some New Yorkers stating their opinions as 10 cops stand shoulder to shoulder in front of the restaurant/bar: https://twitter.com/i/status/1333970593138561025]

Imagine being dragged off in handcuffs from YOUR OWN BUSINESS simply for being open. Shameful.

What a time to be alive.

As posted yesterday re the coming policy change, today the CDC confirms:

CDC changes COVID-19 guidelines, exposed individuals can now wait just seven days in some cases

The CDC announced Wednesday that it has decreased the recommended length of quarantine time to seven to 10 days for someone who has come into contact with an infected person – down from the original 14-day guidance.

Exposed individuals will have the option to take a test after seven days of quarantine to verify they are negative or they will still need to quarantine for a remaining three days, totaling a 10-day quarantine period, without testing.

Can't wait for Ige, et al. to confirm that they will "follow the science".

Our local govt is unlikely to ease up or give up authority/control. It's likely that Gov Ige will extend these emergency proclamations well into the 2021. Going into 2021 leg season - we'll probably see some of these "temporary" restrictions be signed into law.

Rules (like in John Wick)

That said, if you don't see the danger in how such "rules" are imposed, you're missing key points.  Points that tie directly into 2a. . .

At this point, I think you're just trying to argue and poke at folks. . .

Not sure how you can tie being contempt of the law and 2a together...

You can try go the "public safety" anti 2a route but that can be easily blocked by the fact a gun in the hands of a responsible owner has 0% chance to harm anyone.  Vs a virus does not have a 0% chance.

Also 2a is constitutional right.  Spreading viruses isn't.  Nor is defying laws/rules.

He's offering to send dick pics to forum members.  I believe that could be illegal, especially if the recipient is a minor (The Weiner Case).

Yet, he's against public nudity.  Maybe the FBI needs to be clued in here?

Better yet, if anyone gets him to follow through, we should find out what gov't agency he pretends to work for and forward to his supervisor.  You know -- just like turning in your neighbors for not wearing masks or violating the max gathering restrictions.

This is exactly why the Dems in Congress and anti-gun groups started pushing the narrative that gun ownership is now a "public health issue."

We have a real parallel between that attempt to make the gov't control guns more strictly out of public health and safety concerns just like the arguments for COVID-19 ordinances are being enforced.  Constitution?  What Constitution?
